hi guys, anybody of you applied passport the same day after your oath?

I applied 3 hours after oath. And got it within 48 hours.
I did it at the main passport office in Victoria street down town toronto.

Congrats on your Citizenship !!! Thanks for sharing this good news, processing passport is quite fast now. Till recently, they told it takes at least 48 hours to upload data in the Federal System.

Guys, just a quick question. My citizenship test will be next week, and I am wondering if I will know the results right after taking it. Is the exam computer based, and does it tell you if you passed or failed?

Hey there,

The exam is paper based and you'll have an interview with an officer shortly after writing it (30 min-1 hr or so). He'll give you your score at that moment!

My Wife got her test invite for 1st week of December while she is outside Canada (informed CIC, but they still sent the test invite). Now waiting for the 2nd invite. Anyone in the same boat?

1.Any visits in USA made by crossing the land border
2.Any visa valid or expired to USA
3.Stamps in your passport which are not in English or French
4.Gaps in your travel documents or currently expired last passport.
5.Expired previous PR card
6.Living very long time at the same address.
7.Usage of a Travel Document other than a Passport or PR card
8. Any absence more than 6 months
9. Being married and then divorsed

If you are from downtown area it is common recently delays to occur. It is not your fault.

You not the only one left, some other applicants are still waiting for test invitation. I will advise you order for ATIP https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do. That will give you a real-time update on your file.

Last week, a candidate with application in process since Sept'15 from Mississauga got his invitation for test. Probably yours too is around the corner.

Compared to other CIC offices across country, Ontario based offices are still slow. May be due to work load or bad habits die hard ;D

On CIC ecas, they are mentioning that they dispatched the oath invitation letter to me on January 21, 2016 for the oath ceremony on February 5th, 2016.
