Hi All,

Can some one clarify what is the received date means in the statement "Any applications received using the old forms and applications received after June 10, 2015 will be returned to the applicant." Is this the date they received our application or the date when we receive AOR?

Thanks.

June 10,2015 is cut off date that CIC receives with old forms.

Any further application received after June 11 with the old forms will be returned. Basically, all files should be received by June 10th with the old forms.

On one hand, I feel so sorry for the thousands of people who fall into the trap of sending old forms that will be received after June 10th. Going through all that effort gathering documents, taking pictures (6 month validity) making sure everything is organized and complete... Just to have it sent back.
On the other hand, I feel so grateful that wont be us. Got mine in last week!

well said cali4nia!

That very correct. It would have been a great idea suppose the public were notified probably at the beggining of June that would have reduce the anxitey to a minimum. Most applicants will now have to RUSH to send their application today since this might be their last hope of submitting the application with the 3/4 rule.

All the BEST to everyone.

Hey guys can anyone tell how long usually it takes for AOR to come after application recieved? I went through april 2015 applicants and found that it takes between 15 to 20 days. Is that true?

With the sudden changes, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a lengthy time period for June applications. So many people submitting will substantially increase the backlog imo.

Currently, the AOR time line is not stable. Most March applicants got their AOR between 2-3weeks while April applicants are still waiting for their own AOR. So about 2months duration will be fine.

Well I believe when CIC said "application will be processed within 1year" that means that more manpower are being deployed. The delay in AOR currently might be associated with the lack of enough staffs since most of them are on summer vacation. I think things will pick up by the ending on June.

Hi all. i sent my second application this morning with new receipt . i think my first one will be returned as incomplete. so i talked to the agent and adviced me to do so then i will withdraw the first one. in this case i beleive i am in the safe side

All of March applicants have got their AORs http://goo.gl/2hlGcb, average days are 19 days ; for those of April http://goo.gl/MBgq0e , 83% received theirs with an average of 26 days, the rest of them who sent their application at the end of april have not yet received their AORs; however, for May applicants http://goo.gl/yyyG4K, nobody has received AOR yet, the tendency is long and long. The first May application has sent the application since 38 days !
