Hello, I landed on Feb 22, 2019, so I too can expect some communication from IRCC in next 2 weeks. Can you please let me know how did you receive the photo request? Did you get any letter in mail or did you get email/account update?Landed 09 Feb 2019
Spouse Photo Request 15 Mar 2019
Child Ghost update 15 Mar 2019
My own application cannot be found/unable to link, no photo request yet
Should I simply send them all our photos?
Even my photo was taken in Walgreens, should I be concerned? Does it always happen that photos taken at Walgreens/Walmart/CVC will get rejected? I never got any professional photographer in my area who can take passport photosFinal update:
Photo resubmitted (delivery date): February 14, 2019
Ghost Update: March 9, 2019
Approved: March 12, 2019
Received in Windsor, ON: March 15, 2019.
Good luck to everyone who are still waiting their PR cards.
P.S. Here is what I learned about the photo requirements after series of rejections. Absolutely no shadows on the background, while shadows on the chin seems fine. Only my photo was taken in Canada at shoppers, photos were not very sharp though. My wife's and kids photos were taken in the US by a professional studio. I received the digital version of their photos, which I then cropped using idphoto4you and printed them out at shoppers. Their quality was much better than the one taken at shoppers. I then wrote the original studios' address and date the photo was taken on the back myself. All the previous photos taken at Walmart and Walgreens got rejected multiple times.
The process is started automatically when you have your CoPR signed upon entry to Canada. They will send your PR card to the address that you provided when you landed. After completing COPR, do we have to apply for PR card or it will automatically arrive in the mail?
No, as long as photos are of good quality. Not all Walgreens the same. Personally, I've tried 2 different Walgreens, but both photos of their photos got rejected. Their photo quality was worse than the one taken by an iPhone. We had to drive 1.5 hours one way to the nearest city to get a professional photographer specializing in international passport/visa photos.Even my photo was taken in Walgreens, should I be concerned?
