i have a question,

Here is our timeline:

Landing : 18th May (all 3 of us; myself, wife n son)
Application/Profile Update: 28th June (all 3 of us)
Approved: 3rd July (wife n son)
Email from CIC about profile update: 4th July (wife n son)

My application is still in progress, is it normal ? Can i assume everything is okay because my profile got updated once but without any photo re-submission request. I have no clue why i got stuck as we all applied together.

Is there anyone gone through similar situation ? Any thoughts ?

Did you try entering Place of Birth exactly same as in Passport ? Even i had trouble initially but i could link the application after entering Place of Birth same as in passport.

Me too, landed on 11 May. Mine was updated 2 weeks ago, approved 10 days ago. Received card last Thursday. But my partner's application is still not updated at all.

What does it mean when you get an update in your profile for PR card but don't get any email? Does it mean usually that the card is approved or it means you will get photo request soon?

both, I guess. In my case, it means the card is sent into production

Can anyone please tell if it is ok to call IRCC from outside canada and if yes what js the number to call.

I told them i couldn't get a SIN number at Serv Canada bcoz they were not able to see my information at their end and then border officer asked me the document number and then finished the landing formality successfully

Thank you very much, i was able to link it today. Surprisingly there was a hypen in my place of birth which i missed. Thanks again, showing "Submitted" status now, keeping my fingers crossed

Thank you. I linked my application on CIC using UCI number and application number.

Did you put the exact same place of birth as on your passport? That’s the most common issue.

Other than that, you may want to contact CIC.

Raj, from my experience, it takes minimum 20 min to reach an agent, this may burn you down. You may want to rethink

Hi, i had a similar issue, you need to try the following
1. Is there an old passport reflecting a small change such as a space, comma or hypen, try that.
2. Are you taking care of the upper case.
3. Still no luck, call CIC, ask them to spell the place of birth letter by letter, make a note and try. Keep your fingers crossed that you end up talking to someone who will accomodate this request.

Thanks for the response. I have entered place of birth same as in passport still no luck. My kids are US citizens and able to link one but not another.

That's unfortunate. You may also try other suggestions in this thread. If still no luck, we don't lose anything, hope the PR card is delivered within published time of 58 days. If any problems with photo etc, IRCC would contact us anyway.

Finally i was able to do it. In my last work permit extention i had mentioned as "CONNECICUT, U.S.A." Here T was missing and when i was referring to the application.. Thought of giving a try then it worked. In my COPR it has properly documented as "CONNECTICUT"

Another question. I have now linked all 4 of us applications as sperately. Is there any way i can link 3 of my dependendants in my CIC account ..... Apart from having their own.

Plase let me know

Yes, it is possible to link all applications from your account. I have done it like that.

Don't worry, it is normal. you will get your profile approved any day soon. Once there is an update in your file, it means it is approved and card would be sent for printing and once they dispatch the cards the status changes to Approved. It happened to me, the status changed to updated on the same day for me and my son, but his status changed to approved after two days and mine after 10 days.
