Landed 29th March and waiting. When I called CIC on 10th May, agent had no update. Called back on 12th May, agent said card is sent for production on 11th May. Called again on 19th May, card sent via REGULAR mail from Ottawa. Hopefully will get soon.

Can you please share the CIC number, I'll call them tomorrow.

Hi Guys, So after you did your landing and while you are waiting for your PR card, did any of you travel out of Canada? If so did you fly out and have to apply for the temp PR travel visa?

You don't need to apply for any visa if you leaving canada, but while coming back you need vaild PR card or Permanent Resident Travel Document.
Now, for travel document : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/travel.asp

OR if you can come back in canada by personal vehicle via USA then you don't need any of this, only COPR will do the job.

Thanks yes. Anyone has done this process before? From what I read you will need to apply for this from the country you travel to. Seems quite complicated. So just want to know if anyone has done this before and to share their experience. Thanks

Yes, you are right, you need to apply from the country you travel.
Bcos of that, I postponed my travel plan to next week and I just got PR card last Friday. Applying for Travel Document is not complicated process, but processing time is diff from country to country.

Just got off the phone with CIC. My card was sent for production on May 15. So I guess my card will be arriving on or before next Thursday hopefully, as per Nick Nick's status

Landed Apr. 3
Production May 15
CIC call agent mentioned that my card was sent for production on May 17, 2017. Hopefully, I'll have my card by next week.

Hi, can you please update here when you receive the card. Are you living in Toronto?

Does anyone know whether someone can call CIC from outside Canada? If yes, please share the number.
