Quick question guys. Does the information on our CIC accounts remain the same even after receipt of the card. I'm referring to the part that says "Status Updated Date". I initially thought there'll be an update when you land but nope, I was wrong.

My status has remained the same since I received COPR back in March. No change even after landing. I suppose no update will happen even once we get the card. The process is done

Hey all,

A quick question: CIC told me over the phone that my card is in production. How long does "production" take (on average)?

Best,

Hello everybody!
I landed in on April 8th and I'm still waiting for my card of course, because its gonna be 46 days next week. But when i called cic yesterday they told me that my address was expired even tho the cbsa officer at the border confirmed with me my canadian address, and told me that my pr card will be sent to my address. The agent on the phone fixed my address yesterday. Now my question is...do i need to wait 46 days from yesterday? or the 46 are still from the day i landed as pr? anybody had the same problem?? Thank you so much!

Hi everyone
Can I please ask you a question
Ca I apply for the pr card before landing??
And if not,, can I receive the pr card while I'm outside canada?
My plan is to go to canada for short time for landing since i have a job in my country and allowed for 30 days vacation only,, so after landing i will go back home for few months until my contract is finished before settling completely in canada
Thank you

Unfortunately you can't apply for pr before landing and they can send your card only to Canadian address. You can always on the border give friend Canadian address and ask friend to send to your country. I landed 28 march and they send my card on 16 may so after 50 days. And I still waiting, I believe they send my card via regular mail so should be in next week. And another reason I believe is I landed in Toronto but I live in Edmonton. Maybe is delay because of this.

I think, it will stay same. Nothing will get change in that and PR card tracking is only by calling them.

no you don't have to wait for another 45 days, they use that address in very last step (mailing out), so don't worry.

Just got off the phone with CIC. My card was sent for production on May 15. So I guess my card will be arriving on or before next Thursday hopefully, as per Nick Nick's status
