I am stuck at the passport request stage for COPR. Consulate at New York is redirecting me to go through Visa Application Center which in turn has no clue on handling the passport request. I cannot mail my passport to Ottawa. Please advise if anyone has done COPR stamping in New York recently. Thanks

Yes you should call, and establish the cause of the delay. I was in a similar situation, and was told by a CIC agent: sometimes applications from the same family may be handled by more than one officer, so completion time may be different.

You dont need to go there . Sent your passport with new stamping request to New york consulate as courier or USPS Express post . They will sent it back in 2 weeks time .

We landed 21st April 2016 and become PR. My wife and I received PR cards two weeks ago but no PR card for our daughter yet. Do I need to call someone or wait more?

wai for some more days or you can call their call centre . Can you tell us the date on which you received the card.

I just hope the government and Canada post union comes to some sort of agreement.

Unless they use different methods, delivery of PR cards will be effected.

There's been quite a few people in the April 20-30 range that have received their PR card including me. People in May who landed have been receiving their PR card as well...just be patient.

I landed on April 12th and haven't received my card yet. I see a lot of people who landed after me have received their cards.

I called CIC and they said they can't tell me the current status of my card. Is it true? I see a lot of people could retrieve their current status when they called.

I am a little worried now as I have a travel scheduled in a couple of weeks.

1. --> I got an invite on April 20th 2016 where I submitted all my documents on June 16th , (medical done June 11th). There has been no change in status till date which Review eligibility in progress. My Question is if CIC is looking for additional documents, where exactly can I see in my profile if they asked for it. Can some guide me to navigate there?

2. --> Where can I see if my profile was selected under CEC or FSW class?

The questions may sound silly, it would be of great help if someone can respond. Thanks a lot

Hello,

I just landed on the 26th of june. I have a question. I landed in Toronto and the officer didnt say if he was going to apply for a PR card for me. So is the application for a PR card automatic or do I have to go and apply for it myself. The officer didnt even ask me where I was staying so that the card gets sent there.

Please help answer my questions. Thank you
