Finally received PR Card on April 14. Landed on February 17.

Took 57 days including delivery.

Is there anyone who resubmitted photos and sent them through Express Post? The email I got mentions "Regular Mail" but I wish to send them through express post so that I can track it. Thanks.

I sent mine via Express Post. That's the only way to be certain your package got to them and give yourself some peace of mind.

Hey guys,

I have a quick questions, you will be considered as a PR during the the days wait for your PR card, right? I mean, you will be able to work legally without a work permit? Thanks a lot for your reply :)

Yes, you are PR right after landing, and you'll have signed at the time of landing "confirmation of permanent residence" as a confirmation of your status. Don't forget to renew your SIN to avoid any questions from employer.

Thank you.

Also, the email I got after calling CIC about my PR card doesnt contain any details. There is no place in the form where I can put my UCI number and the email I have does not have my name or UCI number. Do I have to send a copy of COPR or a letter of explanation stating my name/UCI? I have the following stuff so far ready:
1. Photos with proper specifications
2. IMM 5455 completed. But the place where client ID is asked for says "Office use only"
3. A print out of the generic photo resubmission email

Can you please briefly let me know what all is needed to be sent? Thanks in advance.

No worries, mate. The three items you listed are all you need to send.
In addition to the e-mail they sent, I also got the photo resubmission letter via post (like a week later). The instructions in the letter and that of the e-mail are pretty similar: send the two photos and a copy of the letter/e-mail back to them at the CPC in Nova Scotia (PO Box 4500).

The only difference is the letter had my UCI and Application numbers while the e-mail like you said is generic. However, like you already know, the IMM 5455 (also to be sent if you use the e-mail instructions) has your name, D.O.B and landing details. That would suffice for them to identify you, no worries.

For the records, I sent the e-mail version because I didn't want to waste more time in waiting for the letter. Actually, this was the advice that was given to me by the Call Center people.
