You always have an option to land in June on return trip from your home country to Canada.

You are absolutely right, but I prefer to gamble on a flight than Citizenship :) They can change the rule three times in three months :) JK thanks for the help .

Hi All,

I landed on Nov 9 still no sign of the PR card. My friend who landed on Oct 23 has also not received his pr card. He called cic and they told him they need new fotos specifications for which have been revised. I am extremely worried as i had left canada hoping that someone can receive my pr card in canada.

Anyone in the same situation.

Regards

That's true. Good luck nevertheless :)

Any information on which landing dates CIC is processing ? We can have a rough idea from the timelines mentioned earlier ?

I landed on November 13 and CIC says they mailed my card on February 7 but more than a month later and no card. You can re-enter Canada by applying for a travel document from your local visa office. Call CIC to see if you need to send new photos or if they already mailed the card out.

Folks - I landed Jan 12th, 2016. I see people who landed later already with their PR card. I'm also reading that there's something wrong with some of the photos. Now if something is wrong with my photo, how the heck will I know? I am planning to travel in April

Call them. They are usually very helpful.

Hope you get it soon YamPower. They did inform me that it takes 7 business days or longer from the time it is dispatched to get the card in your mailbox.

I found out they needed new photos for spouse and child only after calling them. Since you're well past the posted processing time, definitely call them. Good luck!

The thing is even with the professional photographer and using ruler/scale to ensure they are according to their spec still didn't satisfied the officer. :-). A comment would have helped me while re-requesting for the pictures. With much ambiguity, I have resent. Let's see.

Anyone who have sent new set of photos and received the PR Card? Please let me know how long it took get the card.

A friend of mine sent photos on Feb 5-6 and got card yesterday. So it's roughly one month.

I just called CIC to check what's going on with my PR card, and they said that card is not ready yet and I should wait till end of March.

I was told 7-10 business days initially but now CIC says 6 weeks which is absolutely ridiculous. Apparently it was mailed on February 7. I've called three times and was told that my address was updated on two different days and one agent said the PRC was sent to my old address and two said it was sent to my new address. So yeah, I don't know what to believe.

In my experience, most IRCC call centre agents are fairly clueless about your application. You have to be very patient with them and ask them very specific questions - most of them don't seem to multitask/handle multiple queries very well. ::)

+1, this is very true..

I dunno why they hire those lazy ass.. they just like effing answering machine.. so unreliable.. IRCC should lay them off and hire fresh immigrant as replacement..

:D :D
