I applied for PRTD on July 1, 2020 and got passport request on July 8, 2020. I just mailed my passport and waiting for it to come back. I’m living in the US.

Great! I applied on 9th July and haven't got any update on PRTD so far!

A simple question, with Covid 19 so much under control in Canada, why on earth it is taking so long? I can't think of any justification for this delay.

I'm just curious, so far it seems they haven't gotten to outlanders.

Some people from family sponsorship class have received PR cards. They must have been outlanders:

Upd: I’ve checked, sorry, they were inlanders on a super visa.

Ditto! I got ghost update 2d ago well. Today it says card approved and mailed!! Will update once I get it. Landed March 3rd. No email notification today or 2d ago. Fingers crossed for everyone else waiting

Since you landed March 3rd I should expect the same in about 10 days. I can't wait to finish this process.

Where you can see the status as submitted ?

You can link your PR card to your IRCC account with your COPR info.
You'll then have a "Permanent Resident Card" line with a status associated.

Hey Everyone,
Things are moving! I wanted to share with you that my PR card application got approved. And now, I can see the following message on my account:
"We mailed your permanent resident card to you. Your card can take up to six weeks to arrive."
(I landed March 5th in Toronto)

I am curious why you have to send photos? Is it because you are inland applicant?
I completed my landing process 2 weeks ago and came back to USA. I wasnt asked about photos. I was an outland applicant.
Photos were provided to IRCC as part of the PPR request.
