I'm yet to land in Canada, but I would like to clarify an issue. I submitted my passport after PPR using the old photo specs. Can I resend new photo specs before I land or do i have to wait for a new photo request after landing?

Ideally they will send a request to send in new photo with new specs. In this case, you should call them and ask where to send the new photos.

This is after landing, right? Or can they request for new photos before landing?

Landed on 18th February at Pearson. Still waiting for PR card. Never been asked for photos.

Called CIC today. The agent was nice and checked my status. PR card for my wife has been released on 11th April and it will arrive anytime. But mine has not been processed/not completed. She said she was going to send a note to Nova Scotia. :

Surprisingly, I have got my PR card today and my wife is still waiting

Landed on 1st March.
Card sent out on 25th April.

WOW I landed on the same day ( 12 march) in Carway, AB. Looking at your situation, I could expect the same thing for me.

New PR Card Processing Time changed again to 56 days

I don't know how people are so lucky (who got their PR card already). This wait is getting so long. I did my landing in January on rainbow bridge. Received photo request in Feb and sent(received by them) in March. Now it's been more than 1 month after sending my photographs and almost 4 months otherwise.

I called CIC today. Customer representative was very rude. He verified my details first, put my call on hold to check the status, came back and said it's not even in process yet? 4 months and not even in process? I ask him about why it's not in process and how much time it can take? He said he doesn't know anything about it. He said if they sent you request and you already sent it then that's it and if they need anything else they will ask you. WTF

Update: Got a reply to my CSE finally today. IRCC wants yet another set of photographs for child and spouse. The ones submitted in mid-March seem to have been rejected. There was no explanation as to why they're asking for new pics...yet again. Landed Jan 19. I got my card in Feb. Back to square one for rest of the family.

ecas is not working..... so i dont think any other way.

purplesnow and indian5911 pls try selecting pr card in client application status and then check ecas if it works for you. for me it didnt work.

A week before you are due to take you travel.
Get a couple of photo's each in the same fashion as instructed before (with photo studio stamp, date taken etc.
While entering Canada if CIC officer asks you for a newer photo, you can give that.
