Hi all

I know this thread is not for me. But you all are experienced people and have already crossed my current phase (Post AOR,waiting for PR) So I thought you can help me out here..

I had applied for Australia PR prior to Canada PR.. although I never got any invitation from Australia, I got refusal from Victoria for the state sponsorship under sc 190 program...
"Regret to inform that you have not been selected for Visa Nomination by Victorian Government "

Do I have to inform this to CIC?
Does that hamper my canada visa process in any way?


Any pointers are appreciated.

Hi,

landed on 15 April, I travelled back home after landing.

I submitted my friend's address. It has been 52 days so far and my friend did not receive the PR Card. I'm planning to wait until his week is over.

My question is: how can I call CIC to inquire about my card from outside Canada??

landed 21st April. Called CIC agent. He said card is not even in the production. Please be more patient nowadays since the wait time is longer than before. He suggested me to call after 3 weeks. That will be more than 70 days since landing.

Ridiculous if processing time is slowly shooting up to 50-60 days. Pretty sure many of us have travel plans. I will probably have to book a ticket from Buffalo if there is no respite. Atleast they acccept COPR while driving in

Landed April 8th Niagara falls
Address confirmed at the border but when i contacted Cic, Call center agent told me my address was expired and they didn't have a canadian address, so i provided it again on May16th.
Card production May 30th
Card sent June 2nd
Card received Jun 6th

Where did you get that from? It's 52 not 53 days

they change the day sometimes, the first time i saw on the website was 45 days. but that was a while ago

Update: my first PR card is mailed! I'll most likely have it in a few days. Finally, I can have my (ON) health card and go for the driving license. I think the first call worked and the card may have well been produced before I provided my address.

11 Apr: landing, didn't fill in address
5 & 29 May: wrote address through web form which didn't work
2 Jun: called call center and recorded address
7 Jun: PR card mailed

Just called the CIC, my card just went into production today. Expecting to receive it around mid next next.
Timeline:
Landed: 14th Apr. 2017
Card went into production: 7th June. 2017

It means either I sent them email or let my friend call them on my behalf

You can get health card with your COPR itself. Also driving license doesnt need anything beyond passport

I went to ServiceCanada as early as the next day after my landing. They said I lacked proof like address proof/bank card/PR card, etc. At least I won't need a photo id... ON driving tests seems to require at least COPR. I'm not sure.
