Tourist visa then apply for outland PR

I'm writing my fiancee a letter to get a tourist visa to come to Canada. Once he is here, we plan on getting married ( we've been together for 3 years, but have been traveling around the world, so we have lots of proof of our relationship)
I am nervous about this tourist visa because I really don't know what we shold say on the invitation letter. If he gets the tourist visa, we will apply for PR here in Canada, and then he will apply for an extension on his visa so we can be together for the waiting time. We plan on applying outland in Brazil . Has anyone done this before? What do you think of this situation?

I'm thinking of writing that he is my fiancee and just coming to visit for a few months so we can start planning our wedding.

Please help with any advice

I am sure others will add their 2 cents here.

Mine is to avoid mentioning the relationship. Visa's are commonly denied when they believe the person will over stay. They want proof your partner is going to leave when the visa expires. Having you here is more proof in the opposite direction.

Use your travel history as proof, showing you have traveled around together (hopefully you didn't over stay anywhere). Possibly if you have traveled in Brazil you can say since you have seen his country you want to show him Canada.

Again, IMO I really would avoid mentioning the relationship.

I applied TRV first,and I got it. we married in China and want to have Canadian wedding in my husband's hometown and meet all my relatives. I submitted a letter that explained I will come back to China when my wedding ends and I won't work or study in Canada during my stay, if I want to immigrate Canada I will do it in right way. so I got it and only took six days.
I suggest you could give a try,never lies!! tell the truth.

Just to make it clear. I was not suggesting to lie.

I know what you were intending as you said it in the original post. I think a VO will/could deny the application based on the fact you are romantically involved. I would also think that the VO knows that it is a possibility you would be thinking what you are.

When applying for a TRV the whole application is based on information proving you will leave at the end of your stay. You are not intending for him to leave. I hope you get my drift....

I hope others will reply and give you more opinions/experience to help you make a decision.

Whatever course you take, I hope it works for you in the end.
