Hello

I have the following doubts regarding my wife's sponsorship case:

- Once the landing is done, how long do I have to wait to start sponsoring (outland) my wife?
- Can my wife ask for a tourist visa after starting the sponsorship process (outland)?

Thank You!!

Your question is unclear. If you have not already landed, why is your wife not already included in your application as a dependent?
If you have already landed, were you married before or after the landing?

Hello Zardoz

She is not included in my PR process, because I get married during the federal process, after receiving the CSQ. This is why sponsorship will make it outland.

Ok, let's just make this 100% clear.

1) have you landed as a PR?
2) are you married?
3) has your wife been included in your PR application AND been medically examined if the answer to 1) is no and the answer to 2) is yes?

Ok

1) Not yet. I will land in Canada in April as a PR.

2) Yes, and my wife will not accompany me on the landing, because I get married during the federal process. I only declared her as my wife during the federal process.

3) Yes, and we were both medically examined. My wife also sent the criminal record

You can sponsor her as soon as you arrive in Canada. Since you are a PR, you must live in Canada for the entire time her application is being processed (apart from a few short 2-3 week trips outside of Canada). If she needs a TRV to visit Canada, chances are quite high it will be refused since CIC knows she has plans to remain in Canada long term. If that happens, you will have to live separately until her PR application is approved.

That means that my wife could not visit me during the sponsorship process? I mean, that she'll have to stay out of Canada until she gets her PR.

I have read in other forums that the possibilities that approve the TRV are high, since she is being sponsored.

Thank you for your answers

No, the opposite....because the officer won't be convinced she would go home because your presence in Canada is a strong tie for her to want to remain. She is certainly welcome to try to obtain a TRV but if she is denied a TRV, she will need to wait until she is able to land as a PR before she can come to Canada.
