Applied for my Visitors Visa on April 22. Heard nothing. Sent an email at the end of August. Got a response to fill out a web form which I did and they replied to that on September 16 asking me to send back some more detailed information about my application. I sent my application form, and some supporting documents that I had previously submitted. On October 5, I got an email for my passport, dropped it off at the VAC in Kingston on Oct 6, and saw approved on my account today October 7.
Congratulations!

Where did you send the email? KNGTNIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca?

Tavia. Where did your mom submit her passport? At the VAC office where biometrics was done?
Yes at the Fontana at Waterloo. Ensure she takes in the consent form. She dropped it off on Monday and got it back yesterday delivered to her directly.
