Hi,

My husband is permanent residence of Canada, he is sponsoring me and our concern is can we apply for my tourist visa after spousal approval, if yes then is it mandatory for me to do job?

You can apply but chances of approval are very low.

while in canada on a tourist visa, you are NOT entitled to work. If you do, this is illegal

Thanks much no no i don't wanna do any work there on tourist visa it's just we are newly weds and we want to meet once

Yupp, there is nothing stopping you from applying, however your chances of approval are extremely low Good luck!

Hi, I’m also dominican. May i please know what documents you submit for your husband TRV
Our bank statements, itinerary for travel, his confirmation of employment and travel
History. He had a visa to come here to play baseball in los juegos panamericano so i think that helped. Hes a pelotero for las estrellas and travels a lot with el equipo de seleccion...

I see. Thank you very much. I want to apply to visit my boyfriend who’s a Canadian citizen but it seems a little difficult due to the fact that I’ll be visiting him and and being young. Do you think that having car, being student, part time job and 4000 cad helps ?

this is called dual intent visa. You have to prove there is a strong tie that visitor has with his/her home country that he/she will leave the country after visit. In the case of spousal relationship, it is extremely difficult to establish this tie. Why would he/she want to go back home when his/her spouse is in Canada and the ultimate goal is immigrating to Canada, right?

I don’t plan staying there , my boyfriend doesn’t want me to stay there either . It’ll be just a visit cause he has visited me three time already.

It does not matter what you say. You have to present visa officer that you have strong ties with your home country that convinces him that you would come back after the visit.
