Try to avoid staying at hotels. Stay with ur friends or relatives (pay proportionately to them). For food also, apply same idea.

Ur money will be spent fast if u don't plan urself for accomodation and food.

For driving license, u need to spent nearly 700$.

Travelling also will cost u even though its public transportation.

I shall prefer to either spend two to three initial weeks in hotel and then move to apartment after searching a nice one during that time... or I shall get help from any friend or relative to search those for us before landing...

As suggest by Coolguy, better option is always to stay with friends or relatives... however, if you do not have any other option, then you can check hotels like Motel6, Studio6, SafeHomeStay, Best Western Hotel etc (as advised by Qorax)...

Are you driving there? One can drive for some specific time there after getting international license from Dubai...

No, I have started for driving classes and waiting for G test.

I have taken international permit and may rent a car, if required. Trying to save money wherever possible .

U can drive till 2 or 3 months after landing, then u need to get Ontario license.

Of course... savings and getting the right job are the most important tasks to be worried about initially to be successful there...

We are from the Philippines.. Try Kijiji or Craigslist..

If you want to stay downtown then you're probably looking at around $300-$500 for a single room where you are sharing the bathroom and kitchen with others. You can see some example here:

No idea, but it should work. Pls chk with guys who had indian driving license. In my case I had dubai driving license.
