Toronto gathering

Hi folks! I can't tell you how much this forum has helped us in completing our application and how grateful we are to be able to talk to others going through the same process! That said, I would like to scope out if anyone might be interested in meeting in person over coffee? It seems there are quite a few people in Toronto and area and there seems to be an interest in this.

So...I'll start by proposing some dates: Aug 22 or 29
Would downtown Toronto be accessible for everyone interested? If we can agree on these we can figure out specifically where to meet based on numbers.

I think coffee meets are a great idea! Though Im still waiting for my VISA =) Hopefully, after a few months I can join in as well! I'll be around Toronto. Good Luck to all!

I'd be interested in meeting some of you. My partner and I are in Ottawa, but we often go to visit my family near Toronto. We'll be there this weekend, but not next (when the get-together is scheduled). We have a family BBQ outside Toronto on the 22nd, so that's no good (but the 21st would be okay), and we're in the Ottawa Pride Parade on the 29th. We'll be in Toronto Labour Day weekend for the CNE for sure.

Let's keep this meeting on for now and then transition to the other thread for the next meeting?

I suggest Aug 21 6pm? I think downtown is best as it is more central (looks like we have some ppl coming from both east and west). Does anyone have some recommendations? We could always meet at Union Stn and then find a coffee shop (there is a nearby Tim Hortons, for example).
