Today does anyone got any VISA from Delhi VFS or Online ??

Got Original Passport request on 12 Jan '17
Submitted passport in VFS,Ahmedabad on 13 Jan
Got approval letter on 17 Jan
and got passport delivery at home just now i.e. on 18 Jan

Course had begun on 5th Jan
Last date for registration is 20 Jan
but as course had begun, I dont want to take any chances so I am planning to start my course in May'17 by defering my start date.

Yesterday my passport dispatch from canada embassy new delhi and today i got approval mail from embassy. So maybe tomorrow i will get passport but my course start from 2 jan . What should i do now.. Can i go to canada and start my course or deffer my course to may intake

Congrats Jassi! You should contact your university/college and check with them to see if you can still join or if you need to defer to the next semester.

I applied on Dec 9th and still no update- any idea why it's taking so long?

I don't know bro but i consult with different consultant in punjab, All of them say that we face same problem in results of many students. Consultant says its totally depend on visa officer. So bro pls wait for result.

Dear Jassi,
You have to contact personally via email or phone to defer your admission or to get the extension in this Jan intake.

As per my thinking, you should defer your start date to May'17 Intake if possible ; for visa, it is alreasy approved and you can clearly see in your approval letter that you can enter in Canada by 2018 ( if course is for 1 year) and 2019 ( if course is for 2 year).

You can also apply for extension in Study Permit if your studies in Clg /Uni take longer than expiry of Study Permit.

Decide as soon as possible.

My passport has just been dispatched. At around 3 pm

What are the chances of getting visa
My classes have begun from 7th jan.

How much time does the approval mail takes to come?

Thanks for you guidance. Yes you r right bro. I consult with my consultant and he also say that ur extension is upto 15 jan so your course is defer to May intake. So i will go canada in May intake.

Even I haven't heard anything, i applied online on december 6 and it has been 46 days or around 7 weeks; i deferred my course to may intake too but getting really anxious

Well what can we say.. I applied on 3 Dec online under SPP and still waiting and waiting. There is no deadline and all we can do is wait. Already mailed them 7 times and no reply. I don't know how many days we have to wait.
