To date in IMM5444 form is fixed while applying for new PR card for the first time and does not change.

Hi,

I have landed in CANADA as PR in June 2023 with my COPR through land border from USA. I went back to USA and moved to CANADA recently and I am applying for my PR card for the first time using PRTD portal. I have started the application last year and resumed filling out the application this year. While filling out the IMM5444 form, there is a section which states Time spent outside the CANADA, in which the from date is fixed to the date I became PR which is accurate, but the to date is fixed to the last year when I filled some part of the IMM5444 application, and it is not changing to the current date, because of which I can only enter the days I am outside the CANADA until April 2024 and cannot update the recent record of dates when I am outside the CANADA. Do you recommend me to sign up into PRTD portal using new email ID since this issue is with the portal so that I can start fresh without having any of these issues. I have raised multiple webforms, but none seem to address my issue of the To date back dated to 2024.

You should be fine to sign up for a fresh PRTD portal with a new email - in fact that's the recommended advice from IRCC's own website over at https://ircc.canada.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1651&top=23 (if you haven't subnitted the application yet, but you have changed your email address and don't have access to the old one).
