6. DOCUMENTS IN ORGINAL (WITH 3 COPIES OF EACH) EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION, DRIVING LICENSE, PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOGRAPHS (ENOUGH COPIES)
7. IMMUNIZATION CERTIFICATE
8. B4 FORM (ITEMS TO CARRY) 2 copies
9. B4-A FORM (ITEM TO FOLLOW) 2 copies
10. JEWELERY PHOTOS AND PRICE
11. PR CARD APPLICATION FORM
12. SIN CARD APPLICATION FORM


Landing Procedure


1. Fill & keep ready Disembarkation Card/Form We take that form & first go to the 'Passport Control'
2. Inform them we have come for our Landing
3. Go to Newly Immigrants Counter
4. Show the COPR & POF
5. Submit the PR Card Application (Form 5444E)
6. Move to Service Canada office (We get lot of books & information)
7. Move to CBSA (Custom) and declare the Fund, Jewellery, submit B4 & B4-A form 2 copies each (1 copy will get back)


After landing


1. SIN CARD APPLICATION
2. BANK ACCOUNT ACTIVATION
3. FIND ACCOMMODATION
4. SCHOOL ADMISSION (NEED IMMUNIZATION RECORD)
5. PREPARE RESUME AND SEARCH JOB
6. DRIVING LICENSE

But I talked to couple of different ICICI branches and they had no idea reagrding such services by their bank and recommended visiting sec 18 branch in Noida, so I dropped the idea using them

Finally I went with scotia bank for account and bajaj allianj for 90 day insurance

i am for opening account for scotia bank i have few questions if you can answer

1. do i have to deposit any money for opening an account,
2. can my dad be joint holder , he is not a canadian PR,
3. what about credit they offer ?
4. do they accept indian bank cheq. for money transfer.

Yes. You would need to take her PP and COPR to bank as well.

Also to activate the account both of you would need to go to the Bank in Canada. If you go alone, account gets activated but only in your name

1. can you tell me what i do need to bring it for account opening
2. did you did it from delhi .
3. do i need to have prior appointment for account opening.

Thanks for starting this thread. Infact we are waiting to receive our passport back from new delhi. it has been appox 6 months.

We booked our ticket to Toronto from Brithish Airways for 6 May 2011.

We visited the Scotia branch today & submitted the application form as well.
