Alhamdulillah I got passport request last night. All praise and gratitude to Allah alone. This is the result of many, many duaas. Praying for all of you guys.

These last few weeks, this ayah helped me a lot "...Perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not." (Baqarah: 216)

Also focusing on all the good things in my life and being grateful for them helped a LOT cz "'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]" (14:7)

Applied online from Bahrain on June 17th, got PP request on 14th September.

Can you also tell me if you received an email after the hours embassy was closed or during opening hours of the embassy? You must have received an email in your GCKEY account?

Yeah after embassy opening hours. At around 11pm Abu Dhabi time. Yeah, I got a pp req message in my GCKEY account.

So I called CIC again but this time I was sneaky and played along with the misunderstanding that I am calling from Canada. The agent after verifying me said my permit has been approved. It was approved on August 31st, 2016 they are just waiting to print and it can take 5 to 10 business days. This is ridiculous as hell, why is printing something and sending a letter to request passport taking ages. I can't fathom this. I am so unsure whether I must make a paper application or not.

Yea I gave up on getting it even though the university gave me until 22nd if I want but I'm thinking to drop the course now and just let it go..
