Mine was 20th, neither could I make it. I also think they may be closed for the Eid week, must open tomorrow.

Not yet friend. I am going to wait one more week just incase, though the likelihood is very remote. I will make a new application via the paper mode on Sep 25th and I will request to cancel the current online application on 24th. That's the plan.

To tell you the truth the winning of liberals made things worse instead of better. Look at the visa process and timings and McCallum keeps on deceiving us international students everytime he gets screen time. It is very difficult to fathom what's ahead... looks very gloomy the days ahead...

You are absolutely right. I have read McCallum saying that Canada should focus more on giving immigration to international students as they are educated from Canadian Universities and they integrate better in the society/culture as well, but look at what they are doing. They are blindly giving immigration to skilled worker category and they are least concerned with us students. I still can't believe that I'd have to wait a whole year for this now. My administrator was saying that at Master's level, catching up with missed course content after a week gets really difficult. That is why they revoke admission in the 2nd week.

Yes that's exactly why I am told to forego my year at Carleton as well. I have to settle at a university even lower in rankings than Carleton which is Laurentian for winter semester and that too to explore the potential on graduate stream program by OINP which you never know by the time I finish might go out of reach as well... previously I used to admire Trudeau when he used to put up Eid messages until this time I said f*** off you farce.... he has lost respect in my eyes when I lost hope in him which is now...

I am new to this site and I am really impress with various update in regards to graduate studies and also info on schools that can be favourable to apply,,,,,plsss. I applied @ UoM for fall 2016 and till date my status still indicates "Under review in the department," I have sent nails and also put calls across but always getting the same reply "be patient" I applied for M.Sc Civil engineering and I would need advice from those who knows about the school or have experienced such. thanks

That worries me as well @ OINP, because it is still a pilot program and they could get rid of it at any time. I hope it stays until 2018/2019. That's when I'll be graduating now, hopefully.

And honestly, I had the same respect for liberals prior to my current experience with IRCC, which is now down the drain. Harper govt. did a much better job with CIC.

Sorry VictorEze, I only have experience with universities in Ontario. I wanted to apply to Manitoba because of their lower tuition fee but I wanted to stay in Ontario, closer to Toronto especially, where I have lived for several years. And for OINP as well, to be honest.

Also, my Professors at YorkU advised me to aim for a high ranking university for graduate studies because employers like to see where you are graduating from at Master's level.

I hope you get in, for next year though.

Yea man... God alone knows what's in store. I ain't sure whether I should even go to Laurentian given where it stands in rankings. I went to York too btw, graduated in June 2012... I hope tomorrow I can hear something

Alhamdulillah I got passport request last night. All praise and gratitude to Allah alone. This is the result of many, many duaas. Praying for all of you guys.

These last few weeks, this ayah helped me a lot "...Perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not." (Baqarah: 216)

Also focusing on all the good things in my life and being grateful for them helped a LOT cz "'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]" (14:7) :)

Applied online from Bahrain on June 17th, got PP request on 14th September.

Keep praying y'all. Works wonders. ;D
