Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Finally the journey is near to completion.I got the passports and COPRs back today in Canada post.It took almost 20 days since the passports were recieved at Ottawa office.

I have few questions if some one has insight:

1).My understanding is While they falgpole,the PR card will be automatically applied and we done need to file a separate application ?

2).I know Ottawa office offers 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month for validating the COPR if you do not want to do falgpolling.Any idea if other than Tuesdays,do they offer appointments as well ?

3).For health card if my parents have to apply after 3 months ? or they can apply now and their health coverage will start after 3 months ?If they apply now,i think they need to have some document for proof of residency which they dont have at the moment as they are visiting.Any thoughts ??The only thing with the address and their names is their travel insurance and also if they open bank account which could be a proof of residency that will take a month to mail the statement.

my parents sponsership is thru QC .. can they land in toronto and then we will go visit a quebec immigration office to finalise the quebec part of the papers?? did anyone have the same situation?

I received am email saying you have got a new message in your online account . In the online account , they are asking for supplementary travel form Imm5562 and asking to reply directly to the email but the email I received was from "Donotreply@cic" . So not sure what email should I reply to ? Also, did anyone else got request for this form ?

Once you open mycic account and check the message, it will show the email address to where to send or to upload on mycic account.

Once you open mycic account and check the message, it will show the email address to where to send or to upload on mycic account.

I don't see any email address there . On clicking the "View this message" it opens that request letter with no email in it .

Once you login to mycic account, Click on "View Submitted Application" . There may be a way to upload an attachment.
What's your visa office. Try to find out their email address and send it to them and also send a copy by mail.

I received same letter request and sent on same day, then i received pre-arrival letter and background status changed to In Progress after 2 days.

I got the same message last week in mycic, but no email address,that letter asks for supplementary form imm5562 and current country of residence. I updated that form in mycic account but don't know which email account to reply stating current country of residence.

Sorry, what does it mean "extended for another 1 year"? Did you do re-medical? What are the dates of the previous medical(s)?

I have not done re medical. Medical was done in last February 2017. Medical has 1 year validity but in some cases they can extend it for another 1 year so your medical will be valid for another 1 year.

Do you know why they gave you a full year? Are there specific reasons for this? Or this is just a normal extension period?

I don't know. I sent them email in December that my medical is expiring in Feb and we are ready to land it before medical expiry. In same email, i asked if you can't issue the visa before medical expiry, extend it. They replied to my email asking for Travel History form but never told me anything about Medical extension. After receiving passport request last week, i sent them another email to send passport with visa stamp and COPR as early as possible before medical expire and they replied to me today that my COPR will expiry in Jan 2019.
