It's the date when the medicals were done.
For example, if the medicals were done on 20th April 2017, the immigrant visa will have expiry of 18th or 19th April 2018.

Jan 2016 Family Sponsorship:
Medical expiring in Feb 2018 next month. Got email today to re do medicals of my parents. Email IRCC Ottawa if they can issue visa my parents can land before their medical expiry but got reply in 2 hours, they have to redo medicals cz short time left etc..

Background Check started today.

Anybody on same boat.
After medicals results, how long will it take to finalize decision.
Thanks in advance.

Which email address did you use to send email?

how about my mom's case?
TIMELINE:
request of medical feb 2, 2017
done on 8th of february 2017 (physician saw something abnormal on her xray and ask to repeat)
2nd medical was May 9, 2017 (this time we're getting frustrated because manila office sent a msg requesting to come back)
3rd medical was August 10, 2017 (now finally, 1 week after i saw ''medical passed'' on her GC Account)

Questions: when will be her medical expiration? August 2018? thanks and God bless us everyone.

Guys... Just to Update you with my parents application....

We have a very weird case.

We received a letter from Ottawa 01 December 2017 , asking if my parents can land / complete the landing before 13 January 2018. Because if we CANNOT then they have to redo their medical. We reply and said yes we can as they are already here in CANADA.

So we send the passport December 8, 2017 last year for stamping.

We RECEIVED my parents passport last Saturday 1:00PM 13 January 2018.. OBVIOUSLY it too late.. OR is not CORRECT to received the passport the same day it will expires. Saturday so we cannot call the IRCC Hotline.. (no under way)

SO, here what we did. My parents leave in Fort McMurray which is 7 hours to Calgary and 11 Hours to the nearest border (Coutts, Alberta). And since they received the passport with stamp 1:00PM.. earliest flight to Calgary is 845pm and will be arriving 10PM (the only flight available that day).

So we try our best, they took the flight to Calgary and arrived 10pm.. Drive to Flights to any border will be impossible if we are thinking of 12midnight. and driving to any border is 3 hours (to Coutts Alberta) and Coutts Immigration office will close 11PM so we have one hour.. so we cannot make it..

SO WE CANNOT MAKE IT... IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO COMPLETE THE LANDING..

SO what we did is to travel to Cuotts, Alberta in the morning (early morning) JUST TO TRY OUR LUCK.. WE arrived 2PM 14 January 2018.. and explained what are case.. They cannot complete the landing as the visa is already expires.. and the said the is ADMINISTRATIVE fault and not our fault. They got all our papers they said that they will be the one to call Ottawa today (15 January 2018) and they will call us back for the next step.

THE GOOD THING!! they renew my parents tourist visa as it will expires this 27 January 2018.

MY ADVISE.... You have to consider medicals expiry date.. If you did not redo the medical then most likely that the expiration of visa (landing deadline) will be the medical expiration date.. so consider this and always prepare the worst. BE PREPARE on the worst.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!

Hi Simp

CIC-Ottawa mailed it to us 10 January 2018.. and we got it 13 January 2018. According to the immigration officer in the border CIC- Ottawa should send it to us at least 7 working days before medical expiration date.

It's hard to say at this point of time. It may be either 8th February 2018 or 10th August 2018.

Hi All,

I just want to ask a question since I think you are more familiar with the system. I'm a PGP 2017 applicant, received on July 2017. As I'm seeing the timeline for 2016, it takes 2 years to process it.

I meet the LICO for 3 family members in 2014 2015 2016 but if I get married, I won't be able to meet the LICO for 4 members in 2014. Does it matter? or as long as I meet the LICO in 2017 2018 2019 for 4 members, I would be okay?

Thanks!

I wrote an email to ask to confirm if my parents have to re-do med, I I got answer today. They asked to re-do. Just let you know
I have also mail to ask to confirm if my medical have to re-co medical,I got answer today that I have to re-do medical.Answer was as under..
Good day,
Unfortunately we cannot confirm when your application will be ready for finalisation. In order to assist with processing and to minimise delays, we require that you complete a new medical exam.
