Renewing passport is pretty normal. So, you don't have to worry much.sarat104 said:Hi All,
My parents have received their PPR, which is good but there is a small hiccup. Their passports were due to expire in July and they have renewed them at end of February. By the time they got new passports, they had also received the Passport Request.
Now, what options do I have?
Send it across to CIC and see what they say? or send a scanned copy and follow the due procedure?
Any suggestions will be appreciated...
Sarat

Congratulations!citizenship_seeker said:My ECAS status got changed to "Decision Made" under "Permanent Residence Application Status" today. MyCIC is still showing in progress under "Final Decision". But I have not received any email yet. Wondering how long will it take for the email to come.

I would suggest to send both passports attached together. New passport on top of old one (stapled). You can write a brief explanation letter with it.
In my case, my mom renewed her passport just before she got her medical/PCC request. So, I sent a copy of the new+old passport with a cover letter along with all other requested docs back to our LVO. At the time of PPR, we only sent the new passport for visa stamping.
BTW, when did they receive PPR?

Normally it's delayed by 2 - 3 days.
Can you please share your myCIC status?
Did BC change to in progress ?
citizenship_seeker said:Yes in My CIC the background check changed to "In Progress" a few days ago. For Interview it says "You do not need an interview"
That's good news. When did you submit medicals and the police certificate? Is it Ottawa?jas500 said:Mine was changed last week. no email yet.
