Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

I am a new member in this very useful forum.
Here is the timeline of my mom 2016 PGP application. I am the sponsor in Quebec:

Application: January 4th 2016, FedEx 09h19,
SA acceptation: June 13th 2016,
Transfer to LVO in Paris: June 13th 2016,
PCC, Medical and other documents and PRF requests: June 23rd 2016,
CSQ request (for Quebec applicants):June 23rd 2016,
Med. sent: July 28th 2016
CSQ sent: October 7th 2016

Ecas line 4 in PR application: In progress: Medical results have been received.

Waiting for PPR.

Linking the application

Hi Rossei - I'm having a hard time to link the application. I'm using my information when it asks for the UCI, since my mother doesn't have one yet. The only thing we have is the Application number and all the information used in her application. I called the CIC and the instructions they gave me didn't work as well.

Questions:

1) Is this OK if I don't link the application or should/ must I link the application?

2) Which information should I used to link the application?
- I've created a GCKey for her: is this correct or should I create one for me to link the application?
- Should I use my last name and application number or hers?

As a comment, I noticed that some applications here in the forum that are being processed are being sent to Ottawa. Is this because the parents are already in Canada?

Don't worry about it. I had the same issue. What you can do is call CIC Call center and confirm. That's what I did. They confirmed that they have received the PCC & RPRF.

Rossei, i believe this is indireclty linking to the income table right? to ensure the person's family size is increasing whether sponsor or PR applicant...

I don't think so.

PPR is issued when a final decision has been made/ application is approved. CIC checks income during the first stage (Sponsorship Eligibility). When the file is forwarded to LVO for 2nd stage (PR Processing), they don't bother much about meeting income requirements unless you notify them of family size increase.

In the PPR correspondence, they ask for this info mainly because they want to make sure whom they will be giving PR Visa finally. It's unlikely they would re-visit income requirements after an application has been approved.

It's okay. But I would recommend you to keep trying to link the app.

Both ways work. But having a separate GCKey for your mom is perhaps a better choice.

You need to use your mom's info only when you're trying to find an app under her account.

Not the case. There isn't any definite reason why some files are being processed by Ottawa.

Yes, all the requested 5 documents (PRF, PCC, CSQ, Travels, eMedical) are asked in the same received email from LVO in Paris on June 23rd, 2016.
Application for CSQ July 22nd, 2016. CSQ delivred and transferred to LVO Oct 07th, 2016
The other documents were transferred in July 2016 as well as the PRF

Yes, I've already transferred those data into Timeline.

BTW, how come your CC was charged later (21-Jul) than you were approved as a sponsor? Shouldn't it be 21-Jan-2016?
