Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

You are in first batch and there are quite a few who didnt receive AOR. First batch of 5k all had payment acceptance dates before mid March I believe.

Applications are sent to CPC Ottawa if it is a straight forward case. This is based on reading comments as CIC do not close why. There is nothing to worry in either case.

U have to update the new info in New Entry page of the spreadsheet. No one other than the author has access to the timeline page. There are instructions on how to update on Info page of the spreadsheet. Take some time to read that.

Is the email sent to principal applicant's email address or the sponsor's address.

As I am the principal applicant and not the sponsor. My son is not in the country right now so I would like to know if I need to ask for updates with my son.

I also recieved sponsorship approval email yesterday! I was wondering if anybody knows about the time frame for Quebec sponsorship application. Anyone in the same boat??

my sister is permanent resident of canada since 2010. she want apply super visa for our Maternal grandmother .she have meet lico requirment. i would like to ask that Maternal grandmother is in under PGP category or not? & can she apply for her or not.

I believe she can apply. as PGP stands for "Parents and Grand Parents". So Maternal grandmother will come under grand parents.

Congratulations! Did you send Option C printout with your application?

My friend who applied with me for 2 applications received a request to provide Option C printout for 2012,13,14. No update on her other application or mine all of which were received together. My question is, why is CIC asking for Option C printout when they had indicate that we could send NOA OR Option C printout?

If we did not send Option C printouts, should we expect a similar request from CIC?

FYI, I did not send option C in January, in case, I ordered from CRA 2 weeks ago, and received yesterday ( it's about 9 business days), but just got email from CIC this morning that my sponsorship application has been approved !!!! GLTA!!!

I just got an email from CIC confirming that I was found eligible to be an sponsor and that my parent's file was transfer to Bogota, Colombia!

A friends of mine has applied for PGP 2016.
As his 2012 income did not meet LICO requirement he submitted his 2013, 2014 and 2015 proof of income.
He has received first OAR and also recently mailed his option C for 2013, 2014 and 2015 to CIC.
My question is anyone has any idea if CIC will approve his eligibility although he is eligible only according to 2013,14 and 15 taxation years ???

Technically they should refused the application. However it's impossible for any of us to say for certain.

Someone has perhaps inadvertantly deleted the 'username' from 2 new updates entered in "New Entry" sheet this morning. Please, fille out the username whoever filled those this morning.

I have problem to access the 2016 spreadsheet from yesterday from my iPad. It keeps saying google drive error.however 2015 2014 spreadsheet are fine.
I tried at home using my computer,it was okay.today, I went to Apple Store and using their iPad,it shows the same thing, Google drive error.and only 2016 spreadsheet couldn't open.
Would you please double check the link?

The link is fine. Here's the actual link for 2016 SS: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14ujwMXUzGTckLlr1dkuitOOKiqpp5_bhhLDKxDe3NDg. Are you using Google Drive app on your iPad or just using Safari? I would recommend using the app.

I created all 3 sheets in different time among which 2015 was the first one. As far I recall, it was created in old Google platform (spreadsheet). But 2016 & 2014 were created later in Google Drive format. Although these 2 were off by few weeks, they both should act same.

Do you know any 2016 PGP case who has used 2013, 2014 and 2015 income as the three most recent taxation years?
Or anyone from previous years who has done it and been approved?
