We cannot do anything and Purolator can only refund your money but nothing else and no one will listen. Next time make sure to send your documents to someone in Toronto and then they can deliver to local courier for delivery. We paid so much tax so that we can be in cap but bcoz of one stupid mistake of someone's we will have to wait again for the next year.

Hi Pamma97,

Do you asked Purolator for refund? How? My last conversation with the Purolator Agent, They will send a check for a refund.. But until now no refund..

this is what I got today. I already got the AOR in the beginning of the month. Login to ECAS still not working:

So, you are unable to login to e-cas? Does your mother has Given name only? If that is the case, enter your mother's complete given name in the surname/family name field on e-cas and then give it a try.

I submitted my application on DEC 30 at Purolator. The supposed to deliver on 4 Jan, but they delivered on 5 Jan @ 8:52. I thought i was in 5K cap, but so far no information and no CC charged. I live in Edmonton. Did anyone has the same issue?

Thanks
None of Purolator Jan 4 9:43 got charged yet, I wouldn't hold me breath on the Jan 5 batch.

@dbss

I compared the text from "your" letter with the "AOR" email and they are different. So it looks like those of us who have already received AOR letters should wait for the 2nd email.
Did you compare the 1st email with the 2nd email? What text was in the 1st email?

I tried all variations although my mother has the surname field filled on her passport. I have checked my ID and her ID as well, application number as well.

It does not bother me so it is okay.

Hmm... I know the text is different but it is essentially telling me the same thing that AOR did... Did anyone else get a "second" email after AOR this year or previous years?

Good morning to all. I am one of the unlucky applicants that was not able to reached the 5000CAP. Purolator delivered my application 5th January around 8:52AM (hoping this is right).

We encounter problems on our Credit Card and the bank changed our card. So our card the we have used was now invalid. Hoping that we still have chance to make it to the 10,000CAP we contacted CIC and informed them that we change our card and we want to inform them about that. The agent checked our application and asked us to submit again a new payment form. the agent said also the WE HAVE TO DO THIS CHANGE IN PAYMENT FORM ASAP. Judging from what the agent said, I think we still have a chance and they will again start charging the remaining 5000 applicants to complete the 10,000CAP this.

Hello, may I ask how the agent check your application? you even do NOT have an file number. If they are able to check your application using UCI, which means that, you are in the system and most likely you will be in the CAP of 10000.

Yes first conversation he said he will refund and took all the details. Last week I again called and asked I never got my refund and she told me that she can see it has been processed but it takes 7-8 weeks sometimes to get refund cheque into mail. So all i can make out from this is like their delivery service their refund policy is also slow.

I got two emails like you, used same email id twice(both sponsor & principal applicants id same i.e mine)when did u get 1st AOR?

It seems like the first letter just states that the application was accepted in the 2016 cap (based on the one I received), while the second email is the actual AOR acknowledging that the application was received (based on what dbss posted). Interesting.

hello everyone, I was just wondering for those of you who had applied the previous years and didn't reach the cap when do CIC return applications that didn't reach the cap? My parents application was delivered by Canadapost on the 6th of January we got the 1 day express post though. It was already too late for me to read this forum but i'm really happy for all of you who made it this year. Hope anyone would answer my question. thanks!
