guy from UPS told me cap is 10000, they called them..
not sure trust or not 8)

I don't think so. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/sponsor-parents.asp says the cap is 5000.

I saw it with my own eyes guys.. I was shocked.. I had asked my guy to line up at 5 thinking this would be enough but didn't seem so..the sad part was that each courier had a guy in line and other drivers on the road(from that courier) were coming and giving them packets(late/overnight shipments)..

Wow, that's crazy. Based on what you say, I have the feeling that the 5,000 cap was met by 9am. The government really needs to think of a new process. This is not working at all.

And I noticed one thing: in 2015 all deliveries were signed by Stephanie and had it's own unique #. This year we have at least 3 persons signing for deliveries: Tammy, Adusey and Mahmood. So how is CIC going to number all recieved application?

I should have shipped my application to those local courier to drop off
These guys seems to know what they are doing....
I dont know why I never thought about that before...

It wouldn't be that difficult. Each person would presumably be counting the number of applications they have accepted - and I'm sure there would be a manager supervising. Once the total reaches 5000 - all three would start routing any packages received into a different area to be returned to the sender. All they have to keep track of is the first 5000. Anything after that is going back.

my guy was #11 in the line... with the # of packets I saw with the people in front of him I say if we are not talking about COMPLETE APPS but just apps received I think around 7000 were received before mine (I SERIOUSLY HOPE I AM WRONG). (do the math 40 minutes , 1 sec to accept 3 applications as there were 3 ppl accepting and ..40*60*3) because I was told there were 3 people accepting apps this time compared to 1 last time...

This sounds reasonable.

Remember that there is a PO Box that they have to empty as well. PO Box is an equally likely candidate for FCFS assuming they follow this policy with enough rigor

hello everybody...

Oh, with 4 people accepting deliveries... I wonder at what time the cap of 5000 was reached this year ((.

What CIC should do is accept apps for 1 full week, and then just do a random lottery to pick the 5K/10K they are accepting. Fairest way that give people applying from Toronto the same chance as someone applying from BC.
