hello everyone,

I have a question about the financial information form 8. Minimum necessary income

i understand in 9. i put the income for 2014 2013 2012 . However for #8. Minimum necessary income. What do i put?MNI for 2012 or 2014.

Because if i put the MNI for 2014 then i dont qualify as my income for 2012 is less than 2014.Although i qualify based on the federal table for all 3 years , but if i put the income of 2014 in that one box 8. MNI then i dont qualify.Please suggest. Thanks for your help !!

Hello Everyone, I am pretty late in the game and not sure if i will be able to get the forms done on time .

Do you think CIC will accept scanned copies or they want original signed forms ?

I do not think they will accept scanned copies...

I don't see its written anywhere that they need originals ?

I do see that in last year's checklist they mentioned ORIGINAL very clearly but this year nothing is mentioned .

Hey thecoolguysam,

I chatted with one of the Purolator reps yesterday and asked about the info you previously provided. Good thing if the Purolator guy comes 1-2 hours before the office opens but the rep told me that if the guy comes in and see that there's a long line, chances are it will leave and come back at a later time (unsure when) because he has other mails to deliver.

At the end of the day, we can never be sure. We have to take the risk and see what comes out of it. Btw, I live in Vancouver too.

I chatted with Purolator customer service and they said they are supposed to make the delivery on time and only if weather conditions don't permit then the mail can be delayed. Also when I went to purolator office, they said they never had any issues in the past so I suppose we don't have any option. I can't rely on local courier services in Toronto because I have never heard of their name and I am pretty reluctant to hand over my confidential documents to them. Other than purolator, no one else has 9 am service. I suppose Purolator is our choice right now. Let me know if you find something else.

My sister gave birth to a baby and her family size is now 6.... As per NOA her income in 2012 is 65000 .... Are we uneligibe now.....Is there anyway out to cover money.....Should i send the package ? If yes, what are chances of acceptance...Should i give a try...

If your sister cannot meet the lico requirement for family size 6 for 2012, then it is best to wait until 2017 when she meets all 3 tax year lico requirements. If she send in the application now, she will be wasting years of valuable time when CIC reopens application and return the application due to not meeting the 2012 lico requirements.

Does anyone know what I should write on the " Name of Organization requesting check" for Criminal Record check application? Is it the Ottawa office or the Mississauga one?
and my understanding is that I would need the application paper itself along with the CRC; right?

I am helping my sister in filling out the forms. The only figures that I put on the 'Income Sources' table for her is the NOA line 150. I think there's no line there that says about UCTB.

I could be wrong and if someone will correct me that will be appreciated.

how did you fill up question (15/18)? did you take gross income from line 50 or from T4. I took it from T4 as they ask for employment income only with the corresponding employer

for (16/19) I entered the amount from line 150

Can someone please help!

In first part of 2012 i was working in company A and rest part of 2012 i worked for company B, I will write these two in separate lines.
Do i still need to write what is on NOA line 150 for 2012 twice or i can write what I have got on my t4 slips?
I am saying this because I got T5 income (interest paid) from my bank which means what I have earned from my employer would not be equal to line 150 of the NOA.

For my employer that I worked for in 2011, I have got a partial payment t4 slip from them for 2012. What should I do with that? Shall I mention that as well?

What do you have to say about it? Please suggest.

I took all the figures from my sister's NOA line 150. I put the same figures on the dates that she went on Maternity leave and when she was unemployed.

You have to put the minimum income 2014 on number 8.

The income qualification will not be based on the number 8 (only your 2014 income). If your income for 2012 and 2013 qualifies based on Federal Income Table for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship (depending on your family size), then, you are good.

If this amount is less than the amount of the minimum necessary income above, you do not meet the sponsorship eligibility requirements. Do not send your application.

which is making it confusing for us what amount to put in 8. 2012 or 2014..
