I have a question regarding Financial Evaluation IM5768E

My wife is co-signing the application with me

For section 18 I have entered gross income from T4s

For section 19 I have entered income from line 150 of NOA

Now the income entered in section 18 and 19 DONOT match because NOA line 150 has universal Child Tax Benefit included (UCTB)

I have two questions:

1) Gross income for section 18 should come from NOA line 150 OR T4s? If from NOA then how to report Universal Child Tax Benefit
2) In section 19 does UCTB need to be mentioned and deducted, if so, which line is it (b) provincial allowances?

Even I am surprised of no word on cap limit. I thought they will say 10000. 5000 spots will go up in smoke on very first day. At rate of 10 seconds to receive and sign. 1 hour= 600 applications starting from 8 am. By 5 in the evening 5800 apps will be received. I hope they will increase cap to 10000

Whether the cap for this stream will be 5k or 10k for 2016 still remains a mystery. I hope they will say something around Christmas time but before new year. This makes no sense.

It will be unlikely that the cap will be 10K for 2016. It is too soon and abrupt to make a sudden change like that.

However 2017 PGP may see an increase to 10K depending on how soon the trudeau government implement the increase change.

I was also reading about metro missisauga courier service and ciccourier. I haven't heard of these courier services before. How can we trust these local courier services?
Does anyone in the forum has any personal experience.

I have checked with purolator. If someone submits their package with them on 31st December (they might be closing early on 31st December, so make sure you go beforehand before the cut-off time and not before closing else you will miss the cut of time.) and do an express envelope + online label + 9 am delivery then it guarantees delivery on 4th January by 9 am. Purolator will not be accepting or delivering packages on
December 25, 26, 28, 2015 and January 1 and 2, 2016.

If you check 2015 spreasheet, it showed that most of the people used Purolator.

I'm aware that most people used Purolator, but like I said in my previous post, I live in Victoria BC. There is no way I'm trusting a large company to deliver it before 9am from Victoria. If I lived in Toronto then I would take my chances with them.

I put both of them in IMM0008 Form as dependent of my Dad. Do I need to fill up the Form IMM0008DEP for my brother (12 years of old)?

you dont need, you can add 5 dependents in imm0008

I live in Vancouver. I went to the purolator office. They told me to choose 9 am delivery service. They told me to submit the application on 31st December in the morning. They will send the application overnight to Ontario however will be sorted out in Ontario on 4th early morning to be delivered before 9 am on 4th. Their delivery driver would be there 1 - 2 hours in advance before the delivery.

Also, I can't trust local companies in Toronto as I have never heard about them. Also, I don't feel comfortable sending my confidential documents to someone that i don't know. My cousin lives in Brampton and told me that he never heard of such courier services. It's my personal opinion. Please do what you feel comfortable with. I can at least trust big companies like Purolator etc to take care of my confidential documents.

That's not a CIC web site - that's a private side. You need to find this information on the CIC web site to verify if it's accurate or not.

So we should assume this is the correct cap information (unless there's a very late breaking announcement otherwise).

Thanks for the advice. I will stick with a local courier because I've had things delayed in the past, especially living on an island where you can't really guarantee when stuff will be shipped due to weather issues. Good luck with your application.
