Q1 )In form IMM0008, Bangladeshi National Id card doesn’t have any expiry date.
In that case what I should put in National identity document: 5) Expiry date?

Q2 )IMM5404:
How to put marital status as ‘Married –physicaly present’, the field doesn’t allow long text.


Q3)Inside the form IMM5406 its mentioned that:

•“The principle applicant , their spouse and all dependent children aged 18 or over must complete and sign their own copy of this form”

But in document check list (IMM5771) it says following (Dependent word is missing here):

•“The principal applicant and all the family member who are 18 years and older must complete and sign their own copy of this form”

-So my question is me and my brother both are independent and over 18 years of old. Do we both also need to fill up this from?

Hi Rossie and all,

The Document Checklist under "Supporting Documents", Item 7 requires "proof of the applicant's relationship to an accompanying dependent spouse or common law partner". If the principal applicant's spouse is listed in form IMM 0008 as a "non-accompanying" dependent, does it still make sense to include a copy of the marriage certificate with the application package?

Please advise.

Hello @rossei and others, I wish to ask one question, could my brother sponsor parents if he has no income for 2012-13-14 as he landed in Canada in Nov 2014 by spousal sponsorship but his wife is willing to cosponsor and meet the min income limit. Thanks all

Thanks @scylla, taking benefit of your presence one more question, if my parents migration application go under process would it reduce my chance of getting study permit in future. (as u know it may take five to six years)

I suppose there's a chance it might reduce your chances. Most likely not.

Again in detail, I appled for study permit in Nov 2015 and I was refused on the ground that my bother is in Canada and he is also financing my education so my linkage to Canada is more than my home country. If my parents also apply for immigration would it reduce my chances further for future study permit. Thanks scylla highly appreciate your help in this regard

I am almost done on my form application and have the following doubts would really appreciate your responses:

IMM 1344 :

- Do we have to fill two copies of this form?
o One by the sponsor
o By the sponsor’s parents (that is principal applicant)
- Question 6 a. Indicate the nature of your relationship to the principal applicant:
o I am sponsoring my parents but not sure if I should select “parent” or “child”

I put parent as well, I understood like this

What is IMM5404? If you're talking about IMM5406, why do you need to write ‘Married –physicaly present’? What does it mean anyway? I didn't get this at all.

If neither your brother nor you are dependent on your parents, then you don't have to fill out the form separately.

You can leave it blank.
IMM5669 doesn't have those fields. If you're talking about IMM5406, I wrote "Not applicable" in Marital Status column and "Diseased on DATE in CITY, COUNTRY" in Present Address column.

A little follow-up question on that -
during one of the the three assessment years I changed job that is - I moved from employed to self-employed (and was unemployed for 1 month) so I am populating three row. It is clear thus far. However, during this year I withdrew say "$10,000" from my RRSP making my Line 150 '$10,000" more than the sum of the two employment periods during that year.

How do I present this? What would be an acceptable format to CIC??



Also, in the Additional Family Information Form IMM 5406

Under Section C
- its looking for Siblings of my parents

- It has provide space for only 4 sibling but, I have more entries to make

- Should I use a blank page and add to it, using same table format or make a copy of this form and populate other siblings in it???
