Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Hi All, I just checked MyCIC.

Yesterday, under 'Review of Additional Documents' it said "we need more documents, we will contact you..."

Today, that field is blank!

Has this happened to anyone before?

I have finally linked paper application to online account (UCI and File number combination worked with Passport information).

My parents did remedical last week and today I checked CIC that status changed to DM. Can anyone shed some lights what's that mean?

Request to those who completed their application with flag polling. Please share your flag polling experiences so that others are facilitated for their flag polling. Also please share the time taken, behavior of Officials and where/on which of the border you flag polled

Not seen this before..but dont think its too worrysome.
Probably some technical issue in loading that field

i would like to ask for help from you guys. If my mom who is the principal applicant is in manila and my dad is in canada, do they have to send passports together to manila visa office or can my dad send his to ottawa? thanks for the help.

Hi Kaka,

I guess the for what we should take note in Flag Poling.

1.) Nearest Canada Border to your place (Canada Border Agency Office).
2.) Know if they render / offer Immigration Services (note the time, most border office process only till 11pm).
3.) You need to know your PR visa expiry date. (Expired PR visa will not be accepted by the system in border).

This is the only thing you need to know in flag polling as this is the only thing that might affect your landing.

Review of additional documents We are reviewing the additional documents you provided.
Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

ECAS shows Decision made.

Any idea how what does this mean?

2014 applicant...posting here as there is more traffic in this thread:

Finally got an update...I see in the the GCKey account the following which was updated 2 days ago:

We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

And then the following message from today:

"Invitation to Pre-arrival services - February 28, 2018 12:00:00 p.m. EST"

Not sure what to make of the above. Hopefully the end is in sight! ECAS still not updated as of this morning.

EDIT: ECAS also just got updated to Decision Made. Hoping its a positive sign.
