General medical check up, blood and urine test and x ray (chest). If you declare about diabetics, they will give an additional test (Creatinine). My dad also had diabetics, but its not a problem. They have already passed the medical test.Lsg said:What do they check in the medical exam? My friend has applied for her parents and her dad is diabetic and sometimes has irregular heartbeat. Will that affect his medical results?
Thanks!random hero said:from what i know interviews is not required for pgp
I mentioned earlier that my mother got pr and her pr visa ends on May,2017 which is validity of passport.I Suppose they may be allowing upto validity of medical which is one year so one has sufficient time to migrate to Canada.SH Korea said:I received medical exam and PCC requests on Oct. 7.
Just wondering..
Once a decision is made, how soon should parents move to Canada? Will they be allowed to have some time to be prepared to move here after they receive permanent residence status?
Any idea?
My mother has mentioned addresses since 1964 when she was 25 years of age.RNJ said:Hi, You mentionedd that your mom already got visa. DO you know if she had to write all her addresses since she turned 18 for police clearance. ?
Can anyone tell me if this is true?
Yes this is normal. Parents and Grand-Parents (sponsorship program) are subject to non-EDE IMM Type.SH Korea said:In my parents' Medical Report Forms, IMM Type is Non EDE. Is this normal?

Canadian Visa never exceeds the validity of the passport.dadaum said:I mentioned earlier that my mother got pr and her pr visa ends on May,2017 which is validity of passport.I Suppose they may be allowing upto validity of medical which is one year so one has sufficient time to migrate to Canada.
My mom stayed in Canada on SuperVisa for 3 months in 2012, 17 months in 2014-16 and has been staying for last 3 months of 2016. Singapore-VO never asked for any PCC from Canada. It specifically mentioned PCC (Bangladesh) in the email on 10-Aug-2016.SH Korea said:I didn't think about this until now... My parents have visited Canada a few times in the past years (in 2005, 2008, 2012 and 2014). Every time they visited, they stayed for one or two months. So in total, they may have stayed 6 months or more. Do they have to get a police certificate from Canada and submit it? We recently received a request for a police certificate as well as for medical exams. These documents have to be submitted by Nov. 21.
Where can I find out if this is necessary? I don't really trust the CIC call centre reps.
