Unbelievable! Congrats and thanks for your update!!!

Hi,

I received the same email yesterday .

It says "You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative has been forwarded to the visa office in CPC-Ottawa for further processing. This visa office was selected based on your relative’s home address and the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act"

My question is

1. Does that mean we are in Stage 3 of processing.
2. ECAS still shows as Application Received.
3. My parents were in Canada when the app was submitted but now they have gone back to the home country. Would that affect processing as the file is in Otttawa.
4. Is Ottawa considered the same as transfer to LVO.

Thanks much and appreciate.

great news guys, waiting for my turn now for my moms file... i gave her address in india so lets see where the file gets routed, i hope its ottawa, touchwood :)

one big advantages of liberal government :) immigration friendly.

Qu.1 there are just 2 stages. Stage one is upto sponsorship approval and then stage two is the PR application. You have passed stage 1 and are now in stage 2.

Qu.2 don't worry about eCas. It can be unreliable at the best of times.

Qu.3 No it won't affect processing of your file.

Qu.4 yes Ottawa will now be the visa office which processes the permanent residence application of your parents.

Wishing you all the best for the rest of the process.

TO ALL / ROSSIE... AM I DREAMING? 2016 REALLY RECEIVING SPONSOR APPROVAL NOW?....... :o :o :o :o :o :o :D :D :D :D :D

Yes, they are. Not much difference among 2014-15-16 applications, especially between 2015 & 16. I'm one of the very last 2015 applicants and I received my SA on Jun 3 on which CPC-M also started giving SA to 2016 sponsors.

BTW, all links are given in the SS (browse thru 'Introduction' and 'Info' sheets).

Yes, Stage 3 (PR Processing) of my SS is actually formal 'Stage 2' of CIC PGP Processing.

Thank you ROssie... Better to process the sponsor approval right now coz some sponsor are anxious about their employment. We might not be qualified soon as the economy is getting poorer.

Hope all of us here in 2016 will get approval before the year ends.. :D :D :D :D :D :D

Feeling the pain of an Albertan :) don't worry we will get it sooner or later and hopefully PR too in 2016 ;)

Thanks Rossei.

Can I ask one more question.

I am planning to apply for Super visa for my parents, may I ask your views if this could affect the sponsor or vice versa. Will the Super visa be denied as their is an sponsor in progress.

It definitely doesn't affect PR Application. But it may the other way round. You cannot hide the fact that your parents' PR is in-process and it directly conflicts with the intention of applying any TRV including SV. But you can certainly try, doesn't harm anything.

My mum is divorced and someone here said he was asked to submit divorce decree by CIC. I have not been asked yet, but just wondering if I should ask my mom to get it ready anyway? She lives in China and it takes time to get the paper to me.

She only has certificate of divorce (in Chinese). Should I ask her to notarize it in English and Chinese? Will it be good enough?

Advice please!
