8.50 am Jan 4, 2016 (the first day office opened)

CC was charged in Jan 2016 but no news as off yet.

Does this mean I mean perhaps last in the 2016 lot?

What are my options other than just waiting?

Thank you.

Call the CIC Call Centre and ask the agent that you never received an AOR although your CC was charged way back.

Hi All, Experts in the Thread,

I applied in January and my application was delivered at approx. 8.50 pm.

My credit card was charged but I have not heard anything not even a single email. I am not starting to worry.

Is that normal?
What are my options?
Are there any other applicants in the same state?

I want to at least have the acknowledgement. Please tell me my options?

Thanks,

I am in same situation, CC charged but no communication. However only a few days ago I saw an update on ECAS with my parent details. I guess either they will send a mail or the email somehow not received or gone in the Spams.

Received AOR via Mail even though i provided email address. They have given me the Application Number starting with letter "F" followed by numbers. Hope its the same scenario with everyone else :)

Good Luck Everyone and thank you for providing all the information, it really helps in understanding the process :)

Rossei, tried updating the spreadsheet with AOR received date 25-May-2016 but error message coming up stating "you are trying to edit protected cell or spreadsheet". can you please update the info. thank you :)

Yes, the app no starts with an 'F'. I gave this info on the 'INFO' sheet of the SS. Whoever typed your contact details into CIC system might have missed the email id. I think you can call CIC in order to update.

You were perhaps trying to update a cell in any of Row# 7, 8 or 9. But they're reserved (protected) for existing users like yourself just to see what you already have in TIMELINE sheet. It's a straight copy from TIMELINE into NEW ENTRY. When you need to update a field, you have to select your username in Column A of any free row (from 10 to 50) and then update adjacent cells. I've written this instruction on top of the NEW ENTRY sheet. I hope this clears your confusion.

BTW, I updated your AOR date.

Thank you Rossei for the information, i will get in touch with CIC to update my email.

thank you again for updating the information in excel sheet. Good Luck :)

That means you are in the starting batch. Check you spam folders.
You could try calling the call centre and ask them really nicely. If you are lucky, you will get some info although chances are slim.

Why dont you try using your Client ID to check the online status. That should be accessible.

Where can I check online? Can you please share the link?

I tried calling CIC they say just wait but its has being so long that I am worried now.

Thanks.

Call and check with CIC in few days...they would be able to tell you if they sent AOR via mail or not...if they did and you did not receive, ask them to resend to the new address...Btw did you update your new address with CIC and did you auto forward mails via Canada post from old address to new address...they do charge some money for this service though...anyways...I think you are safe and it is just about contacting CIC.

Congrats!!!

Hi Guys, someone in Manila who submitted the application to CIC last January 2015 got their approval May 2016 (forwarded to the Manila Visa Office)! Seems the processing is really fast this time!
