Its not mandatory but for good start i must say you register yourself. Its worth spending 2 days here compared to 6 months in tension without job in canada. It gives you best knowledge to get started from the 1st day in canada.

Hi buddies,
We underwent Medicals on 4th Feb and were told that the results have been uploaded to CIC on 6th Feb. However, there has been no update in e-cas status till date. My understanding is that e-cas gets updated to 'Medicals received' in about 2 weeks time from the time it gets uploaded. Any suggestions? Anyone in a similar situation? Please let me know.

Please click on ur present status, whatever it may be either Application Recieved or In Process.Only when you click there, you will see a second line added to ur status - Medical Recieved.I`m sure u`ll see that, i got my medicals done on 17 feb and second line was added to my status by one week. Hi,
"Medicals results have been received" line should have got added in your ecas "In Process" status by now.

Please check else there might be some issue. Check wtih your hospital again regarding the status on their side.

Thanks,

Hi Gurhehearji,
The status still says "Application Received", but no second line added about Medicals Received. This is causing a little concern as it is taking too long.

Does ur hospital has emedical facility? I personally think that if emedical facility is not there then it might take more time for them to show that status..meanwhile you can go back to the hospital and can personally request the staff to tell u if urs and ur family`s medical were all clear.there is nothing much u can do, than this .dont worry sometimes things just take more time.
