Another very dull day today.... I am going to attend CIIP session tomorrow in Bangalore. Will update after that.... Hope we see some DM and more PPR+MR this week....

As extramiler rightly pointed out, DM are not as frequent as MR+PPR... dont know what they are doing with so many passports.....

Good to see atleast CVO ploughing ahead.... CVO team - be fit for Medicals... do some exercises or Yoga.... for me, my BP was 145/80. Doc was a kind guy and he made it 140/90 (max limit that CHC prefer) since he said.. they are little strict on these things and may ask additional tests, so he helped me..... now i started doing Yoga regularly..!!!

PLs be fit....

One thing is for sure - I spoilt my health and mental peace by applying for Canadian PR...!! :(

Congrats brother, is your status change ? Means in process ?my status is application received 10 January 2013.

Dear all - Was anyone told to take IELTS for spouse also at time of applying for nomination? In FSW forum, I see that many PA spouses have also taken IELTS.... but.. I was not told like that when I applied for nomination, so only I took IELTS.

My wife is also an IT person and intends to work in IT field in Canada. Will not having IELTS for her affect her job chances??

Regards.

Hi Vineet,
That should not be an issue in Canada, IELTS is just entry requirement by CIC. Employers dont normally asked for IELTS. People who go Canada on WP, does not take IELTS, still they work in Canada.

Hi Vineet,

You are part of FSW backlog pilot project>>Moved to PNP like me and at there was no requirement for Spouse to give IELTS while filing PNP nomination in june 2012.
Now as per new regulation effective MAy 2013, Every FSW applicant and Spouse needs to appear for the IELTS before filling...Hope this clears...

Anyways, Really it's difficult to pass time...NDVO please move ahead and give DM....

Cheers!

Roxxane

OK Thanks Roxxane... I understood now...

NDVO need to issue atleast 2-3 DM per week to clear the backlog, else if they are only asking for PPR & MR, but not issuing DM - this will only pile up the passports in their office....

Does anyone here know, if the VO will check our job duties now (at MR, RPRF stage) against the NOC we are nominated ?? My assumption is NO, since this is the task that CIO already did before giving us the nomination certificate...

They may do this check for FSW cases, since they are not asking for any nomination certificate from any province... so obviously the local VO has to check these things, but in our case, we first applied to CIO who did the NOC check...

Please advise...
