Query about Demand Draft.

Receiver general for Canada payable at Newdelhi

And

Receiver general for Canada payable at Delhi

Is it same or it must be written payable at Newdelhi??

Pla need clarification friends. .

Thanks
Jay

Pls make it for "New Delhi". Actually, now-a-days all DD are made "payable at par", so no need to mention the city name. If it says "payable at par", then that's good enough.

But my bank BOB made payable at delhi. And sent to ndvo
So I think there will be no problem. ..right??

Dear all - I am also reading the below -> http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/apply-how_demande-comment.aspx

How to Submit your Passport

Applicants within India and Nepal who have been requested in writing by Citizenship and Immigration Canada to submit passports to a Canadian visa office in India are requested to use the services of VFS visa application centres to expedite processing. To submit your passport along with any accompanying documents, please contact the VFS branch nearest to you.

Applicants outside India or Nepal should be aware of Indian laws restricting sending of passports across international borders. You must either deposit your passport at a VFS office within India or Nepal (see instructions above) or send your passport by courier to the visa office. If you choose to send your passport by courier, you must provide a return mailing address within India or Nepal, as we cannot send passports to any other country, including Canada.

Please also be aware that passports submitted by courier or in person may be subject to significantly longer processing times.

If you read in RED above, it looks it is better submit via VFS rather than DTDC or Speedpost. It says "significantly longer" processing time. I am not feeling good now. I should've sent via VFS i think. :(

Anyone sent via DTDC, speedpost but still had faster processing? Any idea??

Dear vgul - Did you send your passport through private courier/speedpost or via VFS?? Now, that you received your passport back, which option did CHC use to send back the passports to you? Did they also use private courier or Speed post to send it to you??

Pls advise. Your comments will be valuable here.

THanks.

Dear Vineet,

Sent through Speed Post, delivered at CHC next day morning and received back thru Registered Post received on the 3rd Day. Normally it takes 1 or 2 days more if submitted directly. Not much time difference.
