No update from my side too .. I had sent them an email to update my family status but no reply yet from their side ... I m very confused now to what to do ...
Till date NDVO never replied to a single email sent to them .. I dont know what type of system they r running .. Its been almost 3 months now I had sent my passports and RPRF but no acknowledgment yet from their side ... How do I know whether they have my passports or it's lost . In nutshell NDVO has the most pathetic system I have ever seen in my life ..
U guys r lucky that colombo is processing ur files ...

Hi deepakkatoch,
I sympathise with your position, what matters most is eventhough colombo is processing our files. End of the day ndvo is going to receive our ppt and do the stamping. In other words we never know what is in store for us.
So dont loose heart

it can take between 3-4 months
above 4 is quite abnormal and u shud take some actions

This is not the first time I have heard about this delay by NDVO.

If you see other old post of people having the same problems. It sometimes takes time but all people get back the passport around after 4 months.

I guess just to take out the uncertainty of passports misplacing they have introduced the VFS route so that atleast one can track the passport.

but NDVO does not accept passport through VFS in all the cases. They only accept if it is mentioned on the letter from their side. I am saying this because one of my close relative went to VFS in Chandigarh after receiving PPR for permanent residence from NDVO but VFS officials didn't accept that saying that they dont accept passports for stamping PR unless mentioned on the letter received from Visa office....

This is wht some of the guys here in this forum have mentioned that they have been asked to send the passports through VFS.

This is a new thing though.

I would prefer sending it through VFS than anyother option.

No good that will not hekp at all.

They will either not reply or if they reply they will say when the file is ready for reviewing by visa officer they will get in touch with us for further details.
