Got Medical Request on 28th March & got it done on 31st March 2014 (ECAS updated "Medical Results have been received"). Plus additional documents mange c. I wrote them e-mail also, no reply till date.

Just wondering "In how much time more would i get my Passport Request"?

NDVO is really slow in terms of returning the passports.

I sent passports 2.5 months back. till date no update and no change in status. no decision made. it is really pathetic.

I had to inform my employer about sending passports as I had to come back from US to submit passports. I need to travel back to US for some time. My manager is asking every day that what is happening? how long will it take to get the passports back? why it is taking so long? and on and on..

My wife had to quit her job in US and there is no point in looking a new job till we don't know if or when we will get our visa now.

these people are either really lazy or incompetent or understaffed. something is really wrong. I really do not understand.
first they ask for passport when they are not even ready to issue visa. then they insist that the visa can only be issued in the visa office mentioned in the application. then they take the passport and go into hibernation.
if my application had anything pending then why did they ask for passports? if it is already ready then why delay the visa?

when will they grow up? sometimes I think the way the NDVO works is an indicator of things to expect in Canada. I attended CIIP. Really useful if we one has visa but what will I do with that knowledge if I get visa after 1 month? I'll forget everything or most of it. shameful...

Canada Gov. is spending so much money in CIIP and related efforts but what is the use if the immigration itself is getting delayed by years.. they should put some money there to increase resources or something..

my company even has some jobs in Canada right-now. I can try for them if I've visa but I don't.

Sometimes, I think instead of wasting time for Canada, I really should have tried for Australia. Their process is really smooth and speedy. Defined and clear steps. No need to send passports also. They issue eVisa.
why can't canada do the same? Only thing is I want to go to Canada otherwise I would have tried for Aus.

I'm feeling really let down and frustrated.

Did you submit passports thro VFS? Some people are getting passports within a month?

no. I couriered. yeah some are getting within 2 weeks also. don't know why. guess something is to do with the province also. Ontario applications are taking longer. other provinces and fsw appliactions get finallized quickly as per my understanding. although there are exceptions in these cases also. don't know why.

Hi everyone,

Wanted to know how much time it takes to complete the customs and immigration procedure at Toronto. We need to catch a connecting flight to Winnipeg, so what is the time gap we need to give for customs and immigration clearance. All the airlines offer give about 2 hours stop over at Toronto, is this time sufficient for customs and immigration clearance. If not what is the solution.

Please plan for at least 3 - 4 hrs stay bro

You are right, but you should have sent your passport with your friend or someone else, I did the same , I have got my passport submitted through a friend.

So is the case with everyone else here.everyone is struck at some or the other step.It seems ndvo is testing the patience of applicants. They have made us the laughing stock of the world at the same time tarnishing the image of Canada's work ethics and their pseudo concerns towards others. Shouldn't we all through this forum send a request to Jasson Kenney about our plight.
