I have been following this forum for some time now. I too have applied for immigration thru MPNP family stream. Here is my timeline:

09/08/12 AOR MPNP
26/03/13 AOR CIO
26/06/13 AOR NDVO
05/12/13 Application transferred to CVO

I am currently awaiting my MR, PPR, RPRF...

Congratulations. I am also on the same boat, I got my medical done in Dec 2013 and waiting for my passports now. Do you know how long it will take. They also ask me for additional documents related to current job because my sponser did not submit my job related documents when he applied for us. Please guide me if you have any information in regards to this. Thanks

Share your NOC code and current designation. If this is in demand of manitoba then you ll get LOA sooner otherwise you need to wait. One of my friend is waiting since April 2012, ya April 2012....His designation is clerk with 15 years experience.

In general case if file has been posted through mail then you can consider 2 years till you get PP with visa and if online then 1.5 years.
This is I am saying from my so far experience. It may vary in from file to file.

Also, can anyone pls ,let me know that i have got my MPNP application number, how to check the status of the same online.

Did you get this from CIO ? If so then only you ll be able to check.

I have received a confirmation and Application File Number from MPNP

it status Thank you for submitting an application to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

number is in format MBXXXX-XXXXXX


Entering this number on the link provided by yourself gives following error:



This form is incomplete. Please provide the necessary information below, then send your request again.

Immigration File Number/Application Number starts with a letter and is followed by a combination of nine (9) numbers or letters. (Example: B000000000 or EP00000000).


Pls suggest

Friends - I was thinking a lot on the delay and was thinking from all angles and I feel most of the delay has got something to do with our past International Travel History.

May be, everyone can throw light here.. I feel this is how it happens -

After our File Transfer to NDVO, they screen the applications to see if people have traveled internationally. If yes, then such files they keep with NDVO and ppl who have not traveled earlier or only 1-2 countries they send it to CVO. Thats the reason, once CVO asks pp, it comes back with stamping within 15 days, whereas whoever sends PP to NDVO takes forever for stamping...

It appears that NDVO tries to call the Immigration dept of the countries we visited to check if we overstayed, any visa frauds, etc.....

So, bottom-line - the more countries you travel, expect more delays....

For eg., I travelled to US, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand (may be thats why the delay)

CVO folks can comment - Have you all traveled internationally in the past?? If yes, which countries??

(this is what happens when Mind is idle too much... i am thinking too many junk things perhaps....!! )

No that wont work. You ll be issued file # from CIO once you are nominated and requested to submit your file again.
