deepakkatoch ...its 6 months that ur passport is with NDVO? Did you email/fax them enquiring @ ur passports? Can visa stamping take like 6 months? Make sure they don't misplace ur passports.

final decision is depends on medicals result if positive then passport request.

@ moosejaw : Brother NDVO used to send MR , PPR , RPRF together in an email that's the reason my medical request and passport request dates are same . Their working pattern is different from other visa offices .

@ rane : I had sent my passports in March and in May I was blessed with a baby girl . I had sent them an email to provide updates of my newly born daughter and I also inquired about my passports because they never sent any acknowledgement to me for the passports but I never got any reply till AUGUST 2013 .. In AUGUST 2013 they didn't replied anything about my passports but they told me to send updated documents for my daughter . After sending all updated documents in AUGUST 2013 I got MR and PPR for my daughter .. Now I had sent passport of my daughter to them and completed medical test for her too ..

I am totally fed up with their slow process .. Hopefully if everything goes fine now may be I will get some good news next month ..

Yes it is true that every VO has its own pattern for same visa category.
Like our London VO has no second AOR they send directly Additional doc request or Medical AND RPRF all together or one by one or in two steps as they decide. Sher ki marzi anda they ya bachaa.
I will remember you in my prayers.
May your passport return to you with maple leaf stickers ASAP.
And this killing period may over.

So now negotiation between Govt and Union to start soon it seems.

As long as I r ember that Union assured that they will be back on work once negotiation process start,If I am not wrong in my memory.

guys who are a bit unlucky in their PR being delayed
can be lucky subsequently when they land up in Canada

lotsa guys who got PR faster been struggling for even as much as 2 years after landing!

I think the strike is over because pafso wins the case in labour court. and its edwards statement that if they win from then the strike will be over.

any idea on timelines under general category (sponsorship by a friend)

and does the friend have to know you for a certain time before he can sponsor you ?

I applied on 11 Sept. got the AOR on 12th. SP2 on 13 Sept.
