Hi Seltik,

Paano po un? Dumating nalang ang courier sa house/office?
Wala po bang advise, call or text ang courier na may idedeliver sila na passport?
Ano po ang courier na ginagamit ng CEM?

Salmat po sa mga mag rereply... ;D ;D ;D

Dapat para secure passports nyo nung pinadala mga passport nyo sa CEM, you paid a prepaid courier for V.O to send back to you for more secured and faster turn around time

I would like to ask:

for Filipino Principal applicants who are currently in Canada right now. Are they stillr equired to take PDOS when they go to Philippines before coming back?

Sa letter ko kasi ( I am the principal) hindi naman nila ni require; pero sa hubby ko (dependent) ni require nila.

Please let me know. Just to want to make sur e- ayoko mag karoon ng hassle sa airport pabalik.

Salamat.
Depends. It does not matter if PA ka or dependent, what matters is saan ka mag-change ng status mo to PR. Given na in-Canada ka, ang tanong is saan mo balak mag-transition or gawin ang landing - in-Canada, or sa PH?

I am assuming here gusto mo umuwi first sa Pinas and then kasama mo ang dependents mo pabalik to do the landing sabay-sabay. In this case kailangan mo rin dumaan sa PDOS. Kasi at this point, immigrant ka (di ka pa PR) - under PH rules. Saklaw ka ng exit/departure regulations - see CFO webpage.
http://www.cfo.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2834:rar-pdos-press-release&catid=108:cfo-press-release&Itemid=839

So holder ka ng immigrant visa, with the intention of immigrating and changing status at the PoE of the country kung saan ka mag-emigrate. Daraan ka ng PDOS.

Ang assumption kasi ng CIC since nasa Canada ka na, you can do your landing in-country, so di ka na kailangan dumaan pa sa country-specific rules (for PH - immigrants need to go through PDOS if departing from the PH). CEM ba ang VO mo, or Ottawa/Sydney? This is assumed kasi it is always convenient to the applicant in-country to do a border/flagpole crossing or do the landing using the nearest border possible. For dependents na wala sa Canada - since departing sila sa isang bansa na may mga country-specific regulations on immigrants, magpapadala sila ng information about PDOS.

Pilipinas ang isang bansa na may exit regulations for departing citizens - worker/immigrants. Since hindi ka pa PR at the time, tapos uuwi ka, sasabay sa iyo ang mga dependents mo departing to land in Canada, hahanapin din sa iyo ang exit sticker ng CFO, patunay na dumaan ka sa PDOS. If prefer mo not to go through PDOS - exit ka sa nearest land border ng Canada/US (flagpole).
