QUESTION: My file was transferred to ABU DHABI VISA OFFICE. I already resigned at my work in DUBAI this month and planning to go home to MANILA. What's the processing for request for transfer of my file to Manila Visa Office?

TIMELINE:
November 2011 - Submitted all Documents to SINP
May 2014 - Received Nomination Letter from SINP
August 2014 - Sent file to CIO Nova Scotia
October 2014 - Received e-mail from Nova Scotia indicating that my file is in process and complete
December 2014 - File Transferred to Abu Dhabi Visa Office

No official process - a letter request will do - send it to ADVO. But there must be a very compelling reason for this. Backread a bit - ad123464 and itguy26 (if I recall their names right) did send requests to transfer their VOs from ADVO to CEM - look up their posts.

Back to the compelling reason - if the reason is repatriation, then IMHO that is a valid reason to request a transfer. Just note expect to add a few more months to the processing to process the request and effect the transfer.

Are you the principal applicant in your application for your wife?

if you are the principal applicant, the decision of transfer of application will depend on your visa officer.

like what ragluf said, transferring of application will give you more additional months/delays because of the decision and the shipment.

Before, I made a request to ADVO to transfer my application in MNL but it was denied since I am the principal applicant and I'm working in Middle east they kept my application in ADVO, but luckily I got my visa within 7months without any delays from advo.

it's better to make follow up in ADVO /MNL if they already sent/received your papers.

@itguy29 - you belong to the lucky batch sa ADVO. Now they are processing almost after 10 months from AOR received.

Been seeing good news and updates from other threads.

So it seems processing has now been reverted to the other streams/classes after devoting a lot of resources to the launch of EE.

Hopefully, there will be more good news coming to those waiting...
