Hello everyone! Na miss ko itong forum na ito which was a big help to me when my apps is still in process. Just want to share some experiences since it's been a month since we landed.
My family of four landed in Vancouver on June 23, did immigration process there which was quite smooth. Our connecting flight was cancelled so we stayed overnight in the airport..good thing malalaki na ang mga anak ko. We just enjoyed roaming around. We then landed in Winnipeg on the 24th. Eveything in general was fine. We got our health card and SIN the following day, opened bank account after a few days. We all attended Manitoba Start..met some of forum members
;D happy to see them there.
Excited kami that we are already here on CANADA DAY..one of the reasons why we booked a flight kahit mahal ang ticket nung June, lol! We went to Canadian Royal Mint (where Canadian coins are made), Legislative Building of Manitoba, and watched fireworks at The Forks.
We've been around the city, maliit lang naman ang Winnipeg. It was really good that it is summer here when we came. Honeymoon stage is the first 2 weeks, went FISHING, STRAWBERRY PICKING, SWIMMING, etc. Then, isip isip na maghanap ng work.
Got to apply to different companies, online, in person. Tyaga, tyaga lang. I got my first job already, will start next week. Nauna pa ang anak ko magka work sa kin, she has 3 jobs already, praise God!
