I noticed Delta - me layover ka sa itinerary nito na US airport? Note kapag dumaan ka/transit through any US airport you need a US transit visa - unless visa exempt ka or national ka ng bansa na kasama sa visa-free transit program nila. Kasama sa security policies (TSA) nila instituted as an aftermath of 9/11, all passengers need to go through immigration inspection, even if the final destination is not the US. :(....

That's right ragluf, madaming medyo murang flights sa Delta but I can't dahil nga needed ang transit visa. :(

....Sometimes I wonder how you manage to help with almost everyone's concern....

OT: Must be a combination of having gone through the processes (TRV, WP, restoration :o :'(, PNP....), lots of travel experiences, a very fast internet connection, and above-par google-kung-fu :):). And learned from a former colleague on how to communicate with the federal/provincial authorities on official matters and having the CIC toll-free number accessible... :):):)

.../Good luck on prep to depart, and all the best in your landing....

Yes, merun nmn visa. Pero I wanted to consider like PAL or other airlines kasi minsan cheaper ata depende sa season. sa PAL kasi sayang miles, pang-uwi din ng pinas haha. :)

Cguro yung iba na PAL ang kinukuha ang airline, try applying for the miles program. Kasi hindi naman nag-eexpire yung miles (at least according to my friend - ang nageexpire lang daw is yung status kapag hindi nagkaroon ng activity in a calendar year). Malay niyo makapagreward ka ng ticket for yourself on times na need mo. :) hastag just saying... lol

Hope to meet you all once nasa peg na tayo.

Good - your choices are not limited. Usually try to take an Asian airline for the longer leg instead of AC. The Asian airlines have much leeway on baggage allowance - as NA airlines use the per piece system and charge per piece, where as Asian airlines do the weight classification system. See here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t93206.0.html;msg2165559#msg2165559

AC usually allows only 1 pc of checked in baggage, unless your booking class has additional baggage allowance included. Delta is quite also providing leeway on baggage, as it does stopover in NRT or NGO enroute to the US.

...btw I am thousands of miles away from the 'Peg....or "Winnipines' as some now call it....:):):):)

.../atb and good luck on the next phases of preparing for pre-departure, departure and landing....

It's too high on the 20th, nasa 1300 USD. One stop in Vancouver only (PAL and AC). Still thinkin' though. :-\ Resigned na din kasi kaya gusto na namin umalis, you know, yung matitipid namin in waiting for the cheaper month, magagastos din namin.

I took a look at the trend in fares - Jun - August is quite high, but prices drop na start Sep-early Nov and then shoot up by Dec. You are looking at $750-$800 based on the trend graphs - http://www.google.ca/flights/#search;f=MNL;t=YWG;d=2014-06-02;r=2014-08-31;tt=o;mc=p

See if you may be able to adjust to the delayed departure for Sept, if not, just keep watch - sometimes you see schedules opening up with $700 - $850...but these are fast booked immediately. Talagang kailangan bantayan...

Thank you. :D

Of course darating ka din dyan. Just pray na negative din ang culture and keep yourselves busy. May med surveillance ako pagdating dun, baka ganyan din si hubby mo. But that's just fine. Abangan mo yung 3rd month nya since nagpa medical kayo, bec need nya CXR ulit. That would be the verdict.
Thanks. Base sa mga nabasa ko there is a possibility na di na sya xray ulit since kinuha yung mga old xray nya na normal resultnung pulmonologist kase ipass din daw sa embassy for comparison. Sana nga para makabawas sa waiting time. Congrats uli.

Thanks tabs! This will come in handy as I land in Peg this July. I have been re-reading your blogs about packing and ticket canvassing for days now and found it very helpful!

This is a very interesting topic that you have shared. I have been reading about it before but this is the only blog that I get more detailed information about it. I plan to land on the first week of September, so I will have this a go. :)
