hi...question po to those who have already landed in Canada or to those who are leaving soon....are we required to bring the required minimum settlement amount, i..e. CAD10K in cash/cash equivalents (i.e. bank drafts/travellers check) or would a bank certificate suffice? Or is it ok to bring just enough cash for the travel period?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks pebbles, Bibut, betterlife and the rest! I'm so thankful also that I just had the results of my annual physical exam sa office at okay naman lahat except the cholesterol na medyo ceiling na. Blame it to the irresistible lechon of Cebu. Hopefully, I get to exercise often in the succeeding weeks.

Kayo din, batch mates, stay healthy! :-)

HI flor! It's good to know you arrived safe. Magkasunod lang tayo ng dating. I arrived early morning ng February 20. I had a breeze with CSBA kasi nga puro maleta lang dala namin. They only asked kung may susunod pa na goods, sabi ko wala and they let us out na without inspecting our luggages. Wala din silang makikita doon kasi lahat ng bawal di talaga namin dinala. Ayaw ko na kasi magkaproblema pa eh. Toronto ang port of entry namin before flying to Montreal. Its also snowing here Flor and I can't help but walk around while snowing... Gusto ko lang talaga maranasan yung nakikita ko lang dati sa movies. :D I also applied na sa health insurance and May 1 daw namin makukuha yung aming card. I'm just happy kasi dati sa Pinas tayo naguusap via the forum. We were busy getting ready and now nandito na tayo. Good luck sa new life natin dito sa Canada Flor. May the Lord continue to bless us.

Hi Conradfael!

Yes! it is very nice to hear also from you! yes, we all had fun also walking on snow. Di ba mukhang Christmas Cards ang paligid? haha!

Nandito na tayo ngayon at ready to meet all the challenges of living here.

Salamat Conradfael! Tama, kahit private ang religion dito sa mga local Canadians, alam nating mga pinoy na ang Dios ang

pinagmumulan ng lahat ng mga biyayang ito.

Blessings Conradfael!

;) Hi Kelotz!

Very easy mga tanong ng YVR border immigration officers!

Just greet them confidently with a smile,

And answer clearly the ff. questions like:

1. WHO ARE THE MARRIED GUYS HERE?

2. DO YOU HAVE ANY DEPENDENTS ASIDE FROM THESE TWO?

3. DO YOU HAVE ANY CRIMINAL RECORD?

4. HAVE YOU BEEN DENIED OF ANY VISA?

5. HAVE YOU BEEN CONVICTED OF ANY CRIME?

6. WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO STAY NOW?

and that's it! :D

officer

narinig ng asawa ko na sinasabihan siya ng ganito ng immigration officer: "you told us you haven't talked to your (friend, employer)

but here she/he is now on the phone and telling us that she/he had talked to you many times."

we concluded na dahil inconsistent siya sa sagot niya, iginisa siya ng husto. pero, nakalampas din naman at the end.

habang pinapahid ang pawis sa kanyang noo.

'hope this helped! ;)
