Am also considering the online ticket of Pal. Btw, reminder have u check the connecting flt frm vancouver to winnipeg the same rules apply din 1 pc check in din and the 2nd baggage will cost us $20-25 bith westjet and aircanada. Also the flt shed of pal there are flts na ang arrival vancouver 12noon and the other one is 4pm pag 4pm we only have 3hrs to connect with either ac or wj. Ok na kaya 3hrs?

I am staying in Vancouver for a week. So, I am really planning to pay the extra 2nd luggage. And my friend will be booking my flight as she really wanted me to spend time at hers to see her new baby (my inaanak pa). Parang hostage yung flight ko for Winnipeg hehehe

By the way guys, my visa has been corrected. Yay, valid until January 2015.

I also was able to have my licensed certified at LTO main, a little adventure for me, my first time to take a bus and MRT on my own.

As always, here is my blog about my personal appearance at CEM and LTO main branch adventure: http://tabs179.wordpress.com/2014/02/17/personal-appearance-at-the-canadian-embassy-manila-and-going-to-lto-main-to-get-license-certified/

3 hrs. is TOO TIGHT! We have 3.5 hrs layover sa Vancouver and we missed the flight to Winnipeg due to due to delay of the flight from Hongkong. Mas mahaba ang hihintayin mo pag na miss mo yung 4pm flight sa Winnipeg. 8am na the next day ang flight.

1. No need for the old passports . But you need to safekeep it , It might come in handy in the long run.

2. im sure they are checking it and it is a part of their document review. whether they check it or not, you have to provide accurate travel history.

Hi ramcal,
What if you submitted the form and did not include all travel history, since the old passport was lost and you forgot all travel history there, is it ok to correct it by sending a new form and including an affidavit that the old passport was lost and travel history in there was forgotten?
Any inputs from others will be appreciated.
Thank you.

ferdzmigz! :) ;) :D

from my experience, i also did not include my other travels in my travel history. i used to travel heavily in Asia for the past 10 yrs. i only managed to include other travels using my old personal planner but not confident that all were included. so, i dont think that this will be a big issue.

i think, no need to send a new form anymore. as long as those travels that you have written in the form are accurate, if not complete.

lets ask some other forum mates if they have different idea. ;)

Dear Senior forummates,

Would like to ask about expenses from medical til departure. We are a family of 4 and expecting a huge amount from medical to seminars to airfare to travel tax and terminal fee.

Anyone po who had undergone medical exam in St Luke's Global? How much po ang fee for adults and children?

And also COA,CIIP and PDOS fee? Required po ba ang COA and CIIP for both applicant and spouse?

Wait ko n lang post ni tabs sa airfare. Answered na din ni kelotz about tf and tt. :)

Thanks so much! Indeed, it is a blessing to be part of this forum :)

PDOS is 400 each family member leaving and is a requirement. COA and CIIP are free and though not mandatory is highly recommended to be attended by applicantr and spouse.

For your medical fees, please refer to St. Luke's Extension Clinic's website. Last I saw in Manila is around 5k plus and for kids, would depend on their age.

Good luck!

hi unmerited favor, all were answered already , so, i might give you some details on the medicals.

for the medicals, kindly go to this link..

http://www.slec.ph/canada-visa-applicants.shtml#medical-fees

there are two SLEC to choose from, one is in Ermita and the other one is the extension clinic in Global City Taguig. if you will ask my opinion, it is better to go to Taguig extension, because they are not accomodating US applicants there. Meaning, it is not congested in Taguig compared to Ermita.

if you dont like to go to SLEC, you can also choose IOM, i think that is in Makati. ;)

In regards to airfare, I am still looking into it. Are you heading to Winnipeg? I am planning to buy a ticket to Vancouver only because my friend will get me a flight from Vancouver to Winnipeg separately. But the price for Vancouver to Winnipeg is ranging around CAD$300 (one way).

For the flight from Manila to Vancouver, at the moment am leaning towards PAL with the cost of USD$715 (tax, airport tax and travel insurance included already, original price $668 - only with tax). I was given an offer of USD$638 for Cathay-Air Canada - stopover in HK with a layover in HK of 12 hours (only with tax). The 12hrs layover put me off, that I wasn't keen on doing that for the difference of USD$30.

My problem was that I can't book online with PAL, it wasn't accepting my UK card (2x) already. So, I will try to go PAL office and see if prices are similar online and will try my card again. Otherwise, it's cash payment. So, I am still looking into other travel agencies. But I think if you got Philippine bank cards, you won't get any problems booking online.

There are also promotional flights at PAL, just around USD$500, be careful in booking that, it only has 1 pc of luggage. If you only need 1 then that is very convenient. A blog will come up for this soon, first, I need to get myself a ticket. :D
